Here’s an excellent movie well made from from novel.

This is the way
Not all assets, only the productive/ long term valuable ones 😉
Is “Del Complex” for real or an elaborate joke? The transhumanism is creepy but I like the sovereign international waters part.
Looks like feds still trying to bifurcate the bitcoin into "clean" (panopticon) vs "dirty" (freedom) coins. Yet another reminder to keep buiding tools for self custody and financial privacy.
Nice to see more frauds being procecuted.

Here’s a great little read or re-read for this spooky time of year. A sci-fi detective story about ghosts, daemons and AI.

📢 The latest and greatest BDK 1.0.0-alpha.2 release is out! Notable changes include a new bitcoind RPC based blockchain client module for quick syncing to bitcoind, a new linked-list LocalChain, and an upgrade to rust-bitcoin 0.30. See the release notes for all the details.

NashBitDevs tomorrow night nostr:npub1theparkprcs70dcs437ke9zzwsr6u60f8flu7rg28m30438aep9sd94dha. Be sure to RSPV https://www.meetup.com/bitcoinpark/events/291768647/ and check topics here: https://nashbitdevs.org/socratic-seminar-12/
My parents got me and my brother a used Maytag dryer (gas) when we went to college in late 80s, I was still using it until I moved last year and had to leave it behind!
📢 BDK 0.29.0 is now out! This maintenance release updates rust-bitcoin to 0.30.x and fixes a wallet balance bug with more than one coinbase transaction. We should call this the nostr:npub1yrvghtsv8rnyquneu65rx59fx8n3fuqntcqnaf9pk98ex6mlat2sjk8nmj release because she did both of the PRs for it! 😆
Check out the new Bitcoin Dev Kit ”Case Studies" page showcasing some of the projects being built with BDK! 🚀
If you are building a cool #bitcoin project with BDK please click the “Add your project” button and leave a comment.
#bitcoin and #iOS devs should check this out. This is how you build beautiful and powerful new apps. nostr:note1s3tgw9zrhw0kghxxhk8p8n4gmrz6m8ecgt2m0c4wwf0xpjv48y8s2mq2vm
As I understand it this PR will allow `rust-miniscript` to determine the best way to spend a complex miniscript based output given what the user has (private keys, hash pre-images) and when they want their tx to be valid (time locks). I’m sure nostr:npub1yrvghtsv8rnyquneu65rx59fx8n3fuqntcqnaf9pk98ex6mlat2sjk8nmj and @afilini can explain it better but I know it’s going to make descriptor/miniscript based wallets much cooler. 😎
Have you tried setting up a shared cache? I’ve found it helps since most of the projects I’m building use the same set of dependencies. https://doc.rust-lang.org/cargo/guide/build-cache.html#shared-cache
Congrats! financial freedom is incredibly important for human rights.
It’s my amazing wife’s birthday. Happy birthday, nostr:npub19pj6f0nc9q6xr26qe3g8m6xe3hwe0d6p6zcvf57cm3kayghjdj0slnlenu. You are the very heart of me. ❤️
Happy birthday nostr:npub19pj6f0nc9q6xr26qe3g8m6xe3hwe0d6p6zcvf57cm3kayghjdj0slnlenu ! Hope you have a wonderful day 🧁
If you’re in #Nashville tomorrow (Tues Sept 12) Tobin Harding is reprising his TABConf2023 rust-bitcoin workshop at nostr:npub1theparkprcs70dcs437ke9zzwsr6u60f8flu7rg28m30438aep9sd94dha before NashBitDevs 2:30-4:30p, please RSVP here:
Here’s my node! Except I use it on signet now for BDK testing. https://notmandatory.org/rockpro64-pt1/
This won’t be streamed, but once BDK 1.0 is released we should have move workshops like this to help show people how to use it.
Since we’re running out of time to get BDK 1.0 out this year and need some more work on Nakamoto we probably won’t have CBF integrated until a BDK 1.1 release next year. 😀
Here's a link to the workshop I'm doing tomorrow 4pm at TABConf 2023 in Atlanta, GA:
https://github.com/TABConf/2023.tabconf.com/issues/113
This workshop is based on the example-esplora CLI that @evanlinjin created, but I've simplified it and adapted it to use the Wallet API provided by the bdk crate.
Should have added #tabconf !
