Just a Bitcoin Lizard trying to gobble up some sats.

I think the mineral thing is just a way for Trump to placate his base and give him cover so we can keep funneling US tax payer funds to the military industrial complex.

"Yes, we are still blowing billions on Ukraine but at least we are getting something for it."

I thought they had to have an election that included Pierre Poilievre of the conservative party?

Politics in Canada and Europe feels like playing a game against your older brother. Whenever you are about to win he changes the rules.

Thank you for the added context.

A quick search reveals that some people might have an alergic reaction to the synthetic version. Unclear if they also have a reaction to the organic version.

OMG! My wife and children have played that game!

*starts packing bags to get out of Dodge

Fair enough and thank you for the added context.

I have a separate single channel LND node running LNBits so I can run the Lightning Piggys for my kids. I don't allow new signups. Are you saying I should not be running this cause it could still get owned?

I'm weary of any publicly accessible program that can send sats from my node, hence why I built a seperate node with minimal funds on it.

Nope

Okay, can you link a GitHub issue?

I don't enable the super admin and I only allow users to be added via the .env file. Problem solved.

I wouldn't want random internet people being able to create accounts on my instance.

I've not looked closely at this but my take is that the "mineral" thing is just cover so Trump and company can keep feeding the military industrial complex.

It's all about gold and Tucker does his typical passive agressive sniping toward Bitcoin. He never says the word Bitcoin of course, whomever owns Tucker tells him to say only "crypto."

I enjoy listening to Peter St. Onge however I often have difficulty verifying the numbers he reports on his podcast. For instance, I can find nothing about 5.7% annualized inflation for January. I want to believe him but I've also learned not to blindly trust anything, especially something you want to be true. How can I bring these numbers up to my liberal coworkers if I can't verify them?

GM NOSTR ❄️

It turns out nostr:nprofile1qqsvn0dkjt80raqrxd470c98n7zrdehmcvj6p5hgw3kyku6zyd8z0fqqnrf3s sends you 1099-B for sending BTC to other Strike users.

I guess if I had paid with an invoice instead, they wouldn’t have been able to tell if it is a self-payment or payment to others.

Ugh, what a mess this all is. All of the 1099-b froms from the providers say short term capital gains but for tax year 2024 we are supposed to use universal accounting so I actually sold an old lot that would be long term capital gains. Of course Strike has no way to know that. I fear if I go against the 1099-b that the IRS has received I'm likely to trigger an audit however I want to pay only what I actually owe and not give them more because they've created a trash system.

Remember that time when CZ suggested that Bitcoin should be rolled back following the Binance hack? 🤣😂🤣

Isn't it just ByBit rekt and the thiefs happen to be stealing $ETH?
