Like anything else, Bitcoin can also become an idol, but I don't think preferring and promoting Bitcoin over fiat currency is necessarily an expression of the "love of money."

To keep it from becoming an idol, one must always remember that it is a gift from God, and that even if it does make our lives better this side of the resurrection, it is ultimately only Christ we need if we have an eternal time-preference. There's no amount of Bitcoin that will buy you the words "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

Discovered email aliasing. Never going back.

I see a bunch of suggested tags in the search on Primal mobile, but nothing of the sort on the web UI.

NVK is the head of CoinKite, which makes the ColdCard line of signing devices, and has been a staunch opponent of trusting generalized hardware for Bitcoin signing devices.

I could have sworn that nostr.band used to have a list of the most used hashtags.

Was I imagining that?

Well, most churches' elders are actually old guys, unlike the Mormons. Naturally less trusting of new technology they don't understand.

Nostr has a lot to offer for churches who "get it," though. I think many churches censor themselves unconsciously on social media (usually Facebook) because they are afraid of being deplatformed.

That can't happen on Nostr. Open and permissionless protocol.
