I will one day have my own Chickens. Perhaps my own cow too.
Please do not blame the immigrants, blame the broken system that hurts everyone of us including immigrants. We are more similar than we are different.

Everyone's brain chemistry is different, and they all react to substances in their own unique ways. I do not believe in constantly being high, but I do find limited usage in reasonable doses to be beneficial, with effects of calming the brain and helping me to focus. Watching movies on a very minimal dose is like wearing glasses for my brain, I experience conversations/food/the outdoors, and movies so much more deeply than normal. Just like real glasses, they distort vision for some people and focus it for others. My brain chemistry is somewhere on the autism spectrum with some ADHD. I personally find it very beneficial to my life when used responsibly as medicine.
Seeing you here made me emotional. Your journey is one of the hardest there ever could be. You are a very strong individual and I'm honored to respond to what I'm sure will be considered a historic post.
Welcome to freedom tech.
GM! Yesterday I spent the day #cleaning and improving my #apartment while listening to #forest #ambience. Very #relaxed and #peaceful.
Finally setup my rear #SurroundSound speakers after moving 2 months ago! Sounds like a real #theater again. 🍿
Watching #NightmareBeforeChristmas with friends tomorrow. Excited to share the awesomeness. 😁
Anyone on here used #CrowdHealth? The Bitcoiner's alternative to health insurance.
Recently was let go from my job and along with it went the #insurance, #COBRA rates are $400 - $800 a month for just me which is insane. Crowd Health with $50 - $185 a month for what appears to be better benefits seems very appealing, and my funds would go to other Bitcoiners in need which I prefer to the current insurance industry.
I'd love to hear anyone's personal experiences with them!

Wallet of Satoshi doesn't work in the US unfortunately. How much are their fees for small zaps though? I understood the lightning network to charge a percentage of the transaction of less than 1%, even going into millisats, I'm just not seeing that with Amethyst + Phoenix.
Amethyst doesn't have a built in wallet like Primal, on primal I don't see any fees when sending or receiving zaps while on amethyst there are transaction fees when I try to send a zap with phoenix wallet.
Any suggestions on how to zap without fees? I like to zap 10 - 21 sats most of the time, with amethyst and Phoenix I pay 2 sats as a fee which is 10 - 20% of the zap.
Tornado Cash? Needed a banking license. Samourai Wallet? Needed a banking license. WhatsApp, Apple, X, probably all need licenses too.
Sounds retarded? Correct. That's why the SEC has proposed a rule to formalize licensing requirements for communication protocols.
In a speech at the annual U.S. Treasury Market Conference, Gensler announced to rule on proposed amendments to the Exchange Act by November, which expand the definition of the term "exchange" to mean "systems that bring together buyers and sellers of securities [...] (i.e. "communication protocols")."
Critics argue the rule may be weaponized to criminally indict software developers given the already hostile environment for crypto- and privacy devs.
If this rule passes, we are fucked beyond comprehension.

Aww, look at the authoritarians attempting to get more control over uncontrollable things. Adorable.
Converting your economic energy into #Bitcoin starves the beast of the #FIAT system and also boosts the value of the savings of every #Bitcoiner globally. Helping fuel the Bitcoin economy while starving the FIAT one.
Saving in Bitcoin directly helps all Bitcoiners because Bitcoin is a globally shared savings account. Everyone deposits money they don't need now, and withdraws money when they need it later. Mining continuously adds energy which keeps the whole system stable and secure.
There is nothing more moral than stopping the FIAT system that fuels needless wars and enables violence and theft, enslaving us all and breaking down human society.
Nothing any of us can do has a greater affect on the FIAT system than taking away their ability to rob you, without putting yourself at more risk of becoming a target through being more vocal.
Therefore, there is nothing the average person can put their time and energy into that is a more moral action than simply helping grow Bitcoin in any way they can.
We are the future, they are the past.
I already request Bitcoin as payment, request Bitcoin as a way to pay, and refer to FIAT as the "legacy financial system". Does anyone else I know do these things? Not yet, but they will.
The way to get people to see that Bitcoin is better, is to show them.
LIVE Bitcoin.
BE Bitcoin.

How does Bitcoin stop wars?
By eliminating the different types of theft governments use to fund them.
Under the FIAT system governments just print the money needed to go to war, this is theft from their own people through the debasement of savings and wages. They can't do that with Bitcoin.
Under the Gold Standard governments would raize cities, killing everyone, and take the victim's gold from the rubble to continue paying for the war. This is theft from foreign citizens. They can't do that with Bitcoin, the citizens know how to access their Bitcoin savings and killing them destroys that information.
Bitcoin doesn't eliminate all theft, but it makes it significantly harder to steal. That friction makes war far more costly for governments to wage.
#FIAT = Violence and theft.
#Bitcoin = Peace and honesty.

GM y'all!
I was going over the September electric bills for my new place and comparing them to my old place and I noticed something interesting.
In August/September of 2022 I used 1140 KWH of #electricity in 31 days and I received a bill of $161.89. That works out to be 36.8 KWH a day for $0.142 a KWH.
My August/September 2024 bill shows I used 1164 KWH over 30 days and I'm being charged $149.12. That works out to be 38.8 KWH a day and $0.128 a KWH.
Over 2 years I was able to use MORE #energy in FEWER days and I was charged LESS overall for it.
$0.128 / $0.142 = 90.1%
A 9.9% drop in energy costs over 2 years.
Roughly 5% a year in savings.
This is the #productivity gains of society, that I talked about in the quoted below previous post, being #manifest. It's a beautiful thing to see.
Your comment triggered an idea to look for apps that turn web pages into widgets. I found one and I now have an auto updating screenshot of the dashboard page from BTCFrame.com on my homescreen!
It's not quite as nice as an actual widget designed to show the stats, but it's good enough until those start getting developed. Appreciate ya!
I already tried that and unfortunately it doesn't have the stats I'm looking for in a widget. Thank you though!
I WILL ZAP 500 SATS to anyone who can provide an answer to what I'm looking for.
Does anyone know of a Bitcoin android widget and/or lock screen wallpaper app that displays timechain information?
I want to see:
Sats per dollar
Blocks since last/until next difficulty adjustments, and what the adjustments were.
Hash rate
Current network difficulty
Blockheight
Blocks since last/until next halving, and our location in the current epoch.
Number of nodes.
And any other interesting stats such as lightning network growth stats or even M2 growth in the last 12 months.
Essentially as much info as possible but in a widget lol.
I've been looking for a widget app for this and I'm very frustrated because every single app focuses exclusively on the price of a whole coin in USD, and I don't even want that except in addition to everything else.
Alternatively if you're a developer and think you can build an app for this I'm sure the community would love it, and I would personally zap you 2000 Sats for it. Maybe more.
Thank you for reading and GN everyone!
