I see... Hard pass for me. I don't think UBI can ever be fair or sustainable. And I think it's pretty anti-civilization to be taxing the technical progress (which makes goods cheaper).
I think the best pro-progress and the most fair policy is to stop taking money from (all) the people in the first place.
If all the government theft stops, then you won't need no UBI with corruptible rulers.

Every capital allocation which is not keeping up with Bitcoin is wasting energy. We still have sooo much more waste to go around.
People don't see it, but all of it means capital misalocation, and somewhere down the line, someone has to work twice as hard for the same profit.
Imagine what moral it creates in a single team if you know someone is getting paid 50% for their efforts vs someone else. Then translate it to the macro level... No surprise everyone is so disillusioned and nihilistic all the time.
