#asknostr Is this the Weimar flu?

Does it feel around you like people still know how much things should cost? Or have we lost the referential prices already?

Around here, draft beer was always $5, ever since I remember. Now, when they ask for $8, I don't even know if they are ripping me off, or giving me a deal.

Today, I saw a simple wooden "anti anxiety dog crate" on local marketplace website for $600. It felt ridicilous. But then I saw these are really going for ~$500 in bunch of other places as well.

Well, it still feels like a ripoff, but I can see that many people in Austin would happily pay that.

Then I check the finance charts. Gold had its own 2k gang forever. By now, it's a lot closer to the 3k district.

My question is if they already started using the race/gender/sex preference data as well, or just providing it "blinded" to the Recruiters.

In the centralization game, the only winning move is to be the top dog. If you're not, it's just a lose fast vs lose slow game theory.

nostr:npub16vrkgd28wq6n0h77lqgu8h4fdu0eapxgyj0zqq6ngfvjf2vs3nuq5mp2va's right. The only moral (and possibly winning) strategy is to not play.

Already quite an equivalent to getting someone's phone number.

But yea, I'd appreciate if we cut down the manual steps in the process of physically exchanging the numbers/npubs.

Maybe a custom tracking QR code/NFC which automatically signs follow-back requests 🤔

Not listening regularly, but when I do, I appreciate the diverse perspective, topics, and the technical level. Good music too; supras jokes on the other hand... 😅😬

Unlike the US podcast sphere with the strong gravity pull towards the same repetitive topics.

CZ:

CZ government minister is pleading for people to not (!) come rushing to help in the flood devastated areas of the country. "Volunteers should wait for the central coordination of the help"

Who would promote anarchism, if we wouldn't have the governments. 🤷‍♂️

Every young capable man around is supposed to sit and wait until the dudes from Prague find the time to come for the photo op standing in the middle of the demolished village and proclaiming the help to be commenced.

She can download Phoenix, keep the sats there under her complete control (in self custody), and use Strike just for cashing out EUR to her local bank as needed for rent, etc.

She can also easily pay with Bitcoin directly from Phoenix wherever she finds possible, or purchase gift cards on Bitrefill for her Carrefour/Zalando/Uber/Amazon shopping. Which is generally better than going through the bank account route (less likely that she can run into any hassles of having to report the sources of income and other government nonsense)

Has anyone else who’s used nostr:npub1tftc33ttam85wraffce62cgtvvjrmttquqlv6a0agtfm5nl4vues82xar5 ⁣⁤in the past gotten a cute little extortion email with your name and home address? I had a feeling it originated from Swan bc it’s an address I only really used with them. Now a buddy who uses them just told me he got the same email.

What a sweet little honeypot they’ve created over there.

Would a class action lawsuit against the KYC itself be in place?

Taxation of the tips was one of the strongest remaining arguments for cash.

Interesting that the single policy that both parties agree on is the No Tax on Tips.

They gonna get the service workers to demand and prefer the credit cards tips out of convenience.

Smart play.
