GM. Speculative attack intensifies
Haha, yes!
They're just an average short time optimizers. Fortunately, they've been left with no other choices.
Spot on forecast from Luke Gromen 4years ago about US government embracing Bitcoin and letting it run.

Was always clear. But pls, share the message with the robinhood monkeys, remind them that the wall street commies (including robinhood) are 24/7 scheming how to keep the pleb poor.
Brokereages is their field. Cyberspace is ours.
Possibly the best hire any government ever made.
I agree that as there's ROI for governments to coerce the people, they will. Centralized pots just make the ROI bigger.
There's a need for some dead man switch like puboic insurances. "Smart contract" deckaring that if you tread on me, the money gets automatically funneled to your enemy.
The free market for capital already does that. But the less centralized it is, the worse it works.
Refocusing the bankers and everyone to just getting rich of Bitcoin underpinning voluntary exchange is the biggest lever we have.
Use their infinite greed for our prosperity and gradually retire them.
What a step change in the centuries of the evolution of the economic schools of thought battles, debates and neverending argumentative papers.
Just launch a little internet game for the fellow nerds and leave. There's never been a bigger drop mike moment.
I started checking out the selected accounts via xcancel.com (Nitter).
You have to search for what you want to see (accounts or keywords). There's no feed & no algo. It has its tradeoffs, but limits the time sink and doomporn pretty well.
I would enjoy if we create some DVM/Bot LLM which can scrape once per day your pre-selected accounts and pops out a newsletter for you in Nostr.
I know there's been backlash about people/bots using nostr for copy pasting their Twitter posts; (impersonal; "not earnest posting"; without the willingness to engage in conversation). But I think if it clearly comes from a bot or a 3rd party, it can serve a good function for the nostr community to brainstorm on the thoughts over here.
👀

When suspending mis & dis information isn't enough, we suspend low information as well. I love it.
Most search engines overlook the value of negative filtering (flights, hotels, rental cars, ...).
One day, we'll get it.
Yes that's for sure.
He still kinda winged the justification of the mnav premium. Sure, it's easy to argue that it should be above 1x.
But he needs to better explain the value prop and opportunity cost of it being above 2x (or more).
I can see it growing as much as there's a lot of bond-restricted capital looking to escape the debasement. But long term, it has be much closer to the 1x.
What do you think?
Hello everyone,
I was wrong.
I had the impression that MSTR would lose its bitcoin premium in equity markets this year as the ETFs gained adoption, institutions looked for trust/savings vehicles, and other products would replace the stock as a holding vehicle.
I wasn't bearish, but I just thought it would cease to trade with BTC and go back to trading like a normal SAAS stock.
Instead, I now think MSTR is essentially a better version of the ETFs- no fees, no fund managers, no lockout periods, and a cashflowing business underneath to back the purchases- like my friend Atlas pointed out to me yesterday.
I bought my first options today.
Let's get this bread.

What do you think about the premium? In the long term, it has to converge to just slightly above 1x, no?
Sure. But derivatives serve different function (besides the degen trading). Hedging and insuring the risks is conceptually a fair efficiency gain.
Figuring out the most trustless way to do it is a separate issue.
The U.S. national debt is now over $36 TRILLION…
“Man, that’s crazy… catch the Tyson-Paul fight?” https://v.nostr.build/shT6kM5r42bcXjB7.mp4
Will the US debt cross 40T before the 4th of July 2025?
Derivatives are fine. The problem is the government implicitly insuring the biggest gamblers from any major losses.
wtf?

Seems like there was some re-classification of a Strike from October.
They also proved they don't shy away from carpet bombing whole countries.
Fair point. Unfortunately US-Israel aren't known for precision strikes or for surgically removing the regimes. Rather the opposite. So I'm not against replacing the war hawks with a space boy in the lead.
What's the objection to having them talk, though?
Seems better than all the military/intelligence escalations so far.
More concerning since they seem more competent than Coinbase. Raising the bar for the fiat world, but it's still absolutely fiat in the IOU sense.
It can very possibly become a one way street Hotel California for any Bitcoin you send there.
UMA - That's what LightSpark came up with.
"The UMA standard combines human-readable Lightning Addresses with real-time, global payment rails. It extends the capabilities of Lightning and LNURL to add support for compliance and fiat currency FX."
To me, it reads like "KYC Lightning as a service". Lots of Travel Rule compliance speak. It seems like permissioned custodial networks for transferring any assets over lightning.
