I have ended up with Social Media services, and Twitter replacements, as I have with cable and streaming services: I no longer have a clue where I had what conversation and I have to search 8 different accounts. 🙄

Reading one of their Mastodon posts they say that as VPN is not considered a communications tool in Swiss law they therefore don't have to log IP-addresses, and that there are no Swiss laws that can compel them to do so.
I have yet to work out a way to post once and the post ending up on Nostr, Fediverse and BlueSky, without having to double-post. :)

We will all have multiple accounts and the only ones using it cross-platform will be us, following each other on each account multiple times...because it's opt-in and nobody knows what it is their opting into....🤦♂️
Haha, on every platform I follow around 15 people. 10 of my "other" accounts (cross-following) and a select few others (you being one) that know I'm testing stuff. 🤣

I also have found some different "clients" now, felt a bit confined at first, and all the clients I tried were read-only as I was reluctant to upload my private key, but there seems to be ways around that too.

Haha, I'm still trying to work out what zaps actually are and how they are set up. In fact, I don't even know what my "full" address is.
There are a couple of things in this Nostur app that aren't explained so I guess I have to search for it. I can see I've set my username to "hellquist". I have no idea what to type in a couple of other profile fields though (nip-05 and lud-06/16). 🤣
Now I've added you from here (Nostr). I hadn't previously. I've added my Akkoma account here but when I tried to add this Nostr account from Akkoma it said "request sent" and I most definitely haven't seen a request at this end.
As noted earlier I have all kinds of security settings on my Akkoma instance so maybe that makes it non-compatible (I can't use Elk FE on my Akkoma instance for example of things that are limited by security settings).
Yeah, just had a look too. Funny thing is I had to look at my Nostr post on your instance, my instance view of the thread doesn't backfill the posts from the relays properly. Perhaps there will be a job for picking it up later, but I suspect not as it is unlikely there will be a Web finger on the relay that validates my username to something that makes sense.
Also I added/followed a bunch of my Fedi accounts on this Nostr account. For Akkoma, Friendica and Mastodon it was pretty straightforward. It refuses to follow my Hubzilla or Pixelfed accounts though. Have yet to try Sharkey/Misskey.
But also, when I "follow back" from those accounts I get nothing over here on Nostr. No follow, no request, no notification...
So, all of this made me curious and seeing as I didn't have a Nostr test account, here I am!
This thread looks pretty polished in the iOS app I'm using. Also it wasn't overly complicated to add the momostr.pink relay. I'm still guessing my username from here will look bonkers on the Fedi side of things though. 🤣
