This makes sense and an is efficient approach. Seeing the in-app notifications will help us know that whether the conversation (that you are mentioned in) is important for us to respond immediately or not. So that we don’t have to go to the Notification page and check every time.
that’s a good point, I believe there should be one more row in the Side menu for Notification (just like there’s for Bookmark) which consists of lists of notification toggles that the user can turn on/off.
#[2] is it a good idea to send the in-app local notifications (just like Zap notification at the top) for the mentions too? How do you see this feature, good or not good? Suggestion needed
#[0] a local notification can be sent when you are being mentioned by somebody (likely from the ones you follow). But the replies in the thread are also treated as mentions right now right? This will be too many notifications (not good)
The zap custom sheet is an incredible tool. #[0] we need to show it by default unless the user feels to turn it off?

People keeping screenshots of the Damus page in their post gave me illusion at many occasions
There’s a zero width character next to the mentions in the note when submitted via Damus. This was kept to isolate the nupub key from plain text. This is a bug (will be fixed soon) but the only trick to identify if it’s Damus or not
