nostr.build was just approved for AWS Activate, a program that helps fund projects and startups using AWS infrastructure.

Huge call-out and thank you to #[0] for giving me the idea to apply. Rock the F on 🤘and donation incoming.

AWS Activate will give me $1000 in credits plus $350 in support, additional toolls and more. This is huge news for the future success of nostr.build.

Although I ultimately believe our file storage should be decentralized also, AWS is the easiest, most reliable, most cost effective method to get us started for now…

Signal is centralized and requires a number, SimpleX doesn’t require a phone number and can be set up to not be centralized; here Seth is running the server this group is connected to.

Besides not having friends that have downloaded and use the SimpleX app, do you see anything wrong with SimpleX’s architecture? Since they take VC money and are a company is this a problem long term?

I pretty much single-handedly sound designed an entire game solo, minus the music that I contracted out with a great composer, for a well-known AAA publisher / developer. Contracted out the VO recording and initial editing / sorting, and in handled 100% of the voice talent casting.

Any audio asset that went into the game passed through my hands for work / processing / massaging before it went into the game.

Was smart during my career and personally purchased all the sound libraries I used, that I still own licenses for today - At least 6TB just sound effects alone - No music assets at all. The sound libraries will be fun to use for sample-heavy music electronic music production.

I can't tell you how much I've invested just in audio software / plugins / instruments / microphones. Enough to last me the rest of my life, easily.

Anyway, I tend to ramble on... Sorry about that.
