hmmm - the analogy might be different - I can still reply with long notes and any other relay can have users that can interact with my long note.
So you will in effect cut yourself off from the conversation rather than the other way round.

if this is to be taken at face value, let me give you a life hack, there is a tree that dedicates the production of its bark to absolutely turn all ants away - needed for the survival of the tree. We use the bark of that tree to make cinammon.
SOOoooo, if you want nature's way of keeping ants out, just pour cinammon on their trails. They will hate you for it and you can begin winning the war!

there is ONE thing in the "cons" column for anons and that is the odious-yet-human ability to turn into a vile personality because you can hide behind anonymity. In the meat-space people simply can't become so vile because your physical person is undeniably linked to who you are...
Don't get me wrong, not advocating de-anonymising online chat, just pointing out the horrible effect it has had on the quality of discourse on the internet...

On a related but off-topic: does ANY client simply allow you to press Ctrl+V to paste a picture into a note? Iris doesn't and I haven't tested anything else (cos I am quite a fan of Iris!)
