Always loved it. Right now the Umbrel has a larger variety of software, but Embassy is far more focused on security. I think with enough time the app ecosystem with Embassy will open up, and the Pro is way more powerful obviously, but the app selection is larger and can do a larger variety of things right now on Umbrel.
So it's whatever you want to prioritize really & what your timeline is. I have no problem personally making the investment in the more powerful Embassy with the expectation of what I know it will be able to do later this year and next. I don't think you'll regret it if you do.
You can just install it on any linux machine now. So any computer would work really if you can get linux on it. 😊
Quite a bit because of the miners and getting the Pro version of Embassy rather than the Embassy One.
I think the Embassy was a pre-order so i snagged that for $1500, and both the miners were $1500 each, then the Umbrel was put together for maybe $150ish.
Total probably with some wiggle room and without adding in running the 220 outlets for the miners, I'm at $4,650
Could have easily done an Embassy One & two S9s instead and managed for $800 or less.
Not yet, but Matt said their networking overhaul is almost done and that I should expect to see it in the next few months and this problem will be fixed ✊🏻

The mobile version is on the struggle bus something serious. However, I use desktop Keet more than any other social, atm. I have 4 different group projects being done over Keet actually on top of the random hangout groups. It’s working great on desktop!
Also to note, it’s still considered alpha, and desktop started out as bad as mobile is right now 😆

When I select "UPLOAD" on Nostr.build the body of the website just goes to a blank, purple background and nothing happens. I also can't seem to drag and drop, nor navigate to my finder to retrieve a file. Basically i can't seem to figure out how to add an image so I can share it here.

It’s the first truly P2P, encrypted, private & fully sovereign chat app that Ive ever used that required absolutely no configuration or required you to setup a “Matrix server” or run over Tor or whatever.
I have 5 devices plugged into some of my local rooms and they work insanely well and the totality of my “setup” was scanning a QR code… that’s a fucking game changer.
