It doesn't cycle each day, a withdrawal just triggers whenever your balance exceeds the threshold.

That node belongs to nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9 but they don't allow us to open direct channels to it. We do have channels with their main routing node https://mempool.space/lightning/node/03c8e5f583585cac1de2b7503a6ccd3c12ba477cfd139cd4905be504c2f48e86bd with plenty of outbound capacity from us to them but for some reason it doesn't seem to be routing. I'm not sure if the issue is on our end or theirs. I'll try to get in touch with them and investigate some more this coming week.

You might try adding relay.coinos.io to your list of relays in Amethyst even though it's already the NWC relay. I think doing that helped the last time someone ran into this issue.

Bitcoin street payments are tough!
Just came back from a cafeteria that has been accepting bitcoin for years... they had been using nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm for the past year. Of course they had not heard of the change to AlbyHub and of course payments had stopped working for months... I found out today when I tried to pay. Workers at the cafeteria used to have their own wallets fot tips... but most had changed phone or job.
I'll get them back online. But it goes to show that if there is no recurring demand (at least one daily payment) the incentive to keep things working just isn't there...
Yup, people need to be incentivized to spend bitcoin. Fostering adoption is enough incentive on its own for some of us true initiates but others may need to get a discount on their purchase or some gamified rewards.
Yes we approach a lot of business owners cold but we also try to get warm referrals as well and recruit people to be ambassadors for us in their local area.
Yes they can self-register on our website in a matter of seconds and setup their own profile page with their logo etc. There's no special merchant account or anything, we've designed the platform to be suitable as a wallet for both individuals and businesses.
They can also tag themselves on openstreetmap.org to get added to our map and btcmap.org or we can assist with that if you tell us their name and address. Once they sign up and are accepting BTC please do let us know so we can help get the word out!
