We have an instant settlement layer never seen before in human history. We have a secondary translation layer that binds us together regardless of colour, state or nation.

There is an entire frontier ahead of us - it is like the early US looking westwards - who gives a shit about the Old World?

I 100% agree with this. See Sir Roger Scuton’s work on beauty - he recognises the outcome, albeit does not quite grasping the underlying incentives.

It’s a massive leap forward and I feel like this has just appeared out of nowhere. I’ve always been a bit uncomfortable with the idea you could have a huge online presence via these platforms, and that it could be swiped away for any spurious reason.

This protocol offers a robust foundation that you safely can build something on (whether that’s your digital ‘brand’, business…whatever). That + lightning is just a jaw dropping combination.

Oh that is wonderfully put - hadn’t thought of like this. Different app experiences could cater for professional use, casual scrolling etc. it’s like LinkedIn, twitter, insta etc all pointing to the same decentralised and digital town square.
