This sounds about right. Free market principles based on sound money but with a caring community that voluntarily helps each other. The question is, is Stroud about to flip to this way of thinking and continue to build its community but based on the free market or will it continue on its path of socialism and Things will slowly get worse for them?.
For me this is conflicting as I love the town and it has some really cool people in there however it certainly leans towards socialism with an excellent community spirit
I think that sounds about right. To voluntary be a good neighbour is great. Helps build community. Just that in stroud community is super strong but also so is the socialists ideology. Question is, are stroud in the verge of flipping to the bitcoin way and the community will grow even more due to sound money, free market principles or are they a great community but based on shaky ideology that will be its down fall?? I don’t know. All I do know is it’s a great town with some really cool car
@KenDBerryMD hi doc. I had a free BMI test today. Here are the results. The lady was fairly happy with the results. Looks like a high protein and animal fat diet is ok. Any thoughts?

A baking book dedicated to all things seed oil. Couldn’t make it up 😂

Green Agenda: The Return Of The Socialist Ideal - And Its Decline
The cries for help from German industry can no longer be ignored. The green destruction agenda is now hitting the heart of the German economy and, in addition to the construction industry, is now primarily affecting the chemical industry and the automotive industry, above all VW, which is threatening to close plants and has withdrawn its employment guarantee.
The immense relative increase in the price of German energy, the core piece of the de-growth fatalists, is damaging the energy-intensive sectors that generate our economic value, on which everything is built, on which we as a social society place great value, health care, social services, the pension system or other state-run ponzi schemes that won't be operable for a long time without a strong economy.
Only a free capital market will help us to bury the green-socialist agenda of destruction. It would guarantee a sufficiently high level of real interest rates to flush all the bad investments out of the market.
Our motto: r = 6%!
The supranationally anchored incentive structure, which is safeguarded by the system-friendly media, has created a growing protective wall of subsidy entrepreneurs, which we can only penetrate with difficulty using arguments.
And to all the climate apocalyptics who sectarianly follow this agenda, let me reiterate that only the free market can produce more ecologically sophisticated innovations and resource efficiency.
The efficient combination of scarce resources is in the interests of private companies that are in competition. Only in this way could the free market economy achieve the technological, social and ecological progress that we enjoy today.
If this does not apply, we will end up back in the pestilence of Bitterfeld!
The ecological disasters of socialist economic regimes speak volumes, and should be understood even by the subsidy-corrupted.
The established green subsidy machine is unethical because it damages the middle class and robs poorer members of the population of their opportunities for advancement, not to mention the fact that the gigantic mountains of debt created for this artificial GDP growth will be written into the balance sheet of future generations. This idea naturally also applies to international economic relations.
And once again: an entrepreneur who accepts a subsidy is a welfare recipient!

Sad to see. Seems like our dear government in the UK is taking inspiration from Germany and following suit as fast as we can
Totally agree. Just have to keep plugging at them.
Totally. My next plan is to try and get the long table to accept bitcoin payments. The guy who started it has started buying bitcoin personally so it’s only a small step to get them to accept as a payment. The green agenda might be a barrier but there is so much good info out on the green benefits of bitcoin that I think I can sway them. One merchant at a time.
My local town Stroud is an absolute melting pot of community. I would say the town has a certain socialist leaning. This has made me think. We should be capitalist with our markets. Ie free market and competition etc. but can we be more socialist with our local communities. Ie not hand outs but being kind, caring and generous with our neighbours. Have I got this right? What do you think?
No way!! And we thought Forbes was one of us 😉
So nostr:npub1rtlqca8r6auyaw5n5h3l5422dm4sry5dzfee4696fqe8s6qgudks7djtfs it turns out I was wrong about the journey. Apparently it’s how you intergrate back into normal life after the journey. Ie, if you hade just experienced an almighty bull run, given a knock out speech at the biggest conference, taken a 1000 selfies with the plebs and had some serious zaps on your latest nostr post. The key here is to go home and be a normal person, a good husband and father etc. if we can’t go “home” after such journeys then we struggle. I guess this is the stay humble part and possibly a quiet and genital form of spirituality that is often over looked in today’s society.
Keep doing what your doing 🫡
Fun times at the circus. Mother in law paid so didn’t waste any bitcoin. Win win

I finally ordered it. I just kept forgetting. nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx mentioning it on RHR yday gave me the reminder. TY sir 🫡

It’s good. Possibly quite depressing but a good story. It is just a story though. Doesn’t mean all will happen
Generous crowd here 😉
I’m pretty sure an increased amount of protein and saturated fat has been detrimental on my breath 😬
As it should be. Also the sooner you can learn to love the journey the better/easier it becomes. The real secret is knowing that there is not final destination, so learn to live life now. We don’t know when it will stop.
Just had a chat with the butcher. He is probably 60+ what’s the plan when he retires/can’t run the shop any more. Shut the doors was his answer. Having run a butchery shop. I know how hard it is work and to make any money. Once these shops go they won’t be replaced apart from fancy ones in urban high streets. The local ones will not come back. Then we will only have the super markets and their cheap industrial waste to feed us
