Haha yeah but it's important not to do things solely for the sake of breaking stereotypes. Simply wanting to be a better person must precede wanting to change people's minds. It has to start within. Interestingly, when this happens, you stop caring about changing people's minds regarding what they think of you.

Regarding OP: Partially justified in expecting that Bitcoin will help those who are marginalised.

I say partially because regulations, price controls, taxation, bureacratic meddling with industry and trade, moral policing and weak property rights actually play a big role in keeping the underprivileged where they are, in addition to fiat money and central banking.

No matter how much education a person is given, if he or she cannot put it to use by being productive, lowering time preference, accumulating capital, saving and investing, their condition will not materially or spiritually improve. The state, with its various interventionist policy programs, keep them where they are.

Inequality of various kinds will always exist in a free market or a fully planned economy, because of our subjective preferences, differing circumstances, varied talents and capabilities. That's just how human beings are.

But the thing is, in a free market, those at the lowest rungs always get better economically thanks to an overall improvement in the standard of living, because those at the top do not have their positions guaranteed.

They have to constantly innovate, produce better, and satisfy the mass of consumers in the best possible way to remain where they are.

What I described above is the real 'liberal' position from the enlightenment era, now associated with the term 'libertarian'.

The lawsuit says that they formed an investment cartel to control U. S Energy markets. There are major shareholders in Amazon and Costco, both of who received insane tax decreases while the rest of us got jacked. They indirectly own Delmarva Power through ownership in Exelon, the parent company to Del Marva Power. And our power bills and our energy bills have been skyrocketing due to ESG policies here in Delaware, due to green energy initiatives that our lawmakers passed knowing there was no possible way for us to meet them here in Delaware.

We simply do not have the land to do so. They own Ryan Homes indirectly through their major ownership in NVR Homes, which is the parent company to Ryan Homes. So they've been going around, they've been buying all the residential land and the farmland and turning into properties and developments that nobody can afford. They have a major ownership in Chesapeake Utilities, you guys, over development of the land, utility monopolies and artesian water. Yep, you probably guessed it.

And then you have some big name politicians who I cannot name yet until I have my receipts to back what I'm saying. But it all is full circle, guys. It's all a triangle profit scheme. We are free range humans on a tax farm.

BlackRock and Vanguard are major owners in every single one of the things I just mentioned.

I don't think it has to be super complicated.. at least you can aim for exactly what you need and nothing you don't to try to keep implementation "easy" and bugs low.

For instance I wouldn't send a timestamp. It isn't that you don't want them, it is that you can't trust them. Things are just going to break if you require timestamps and then try to do clever things with them. No one will use them consistently or correctly.

I do agree that Nostr's simplicity makes everything else you want hard. If you want to encrypt properly.. good luck. The best you can do is TLS and just trust your relays.

Back to p2p, yes it is slow and buggy, but we can have the best of both worlds by doing web-of-trust stuff in a peer-to-peer like fashion but actually disseminate data in a traditional hub and spoke architecture.

I wouldn't make it wide open. I think you want authentication as part of the protocol for automatic spam suppression, but you can still have big servers serving stuff.

I am tempted to make requesting files non-authenticated. If they are just identified by their hash, good luck guessing a 32byte string. The counter argument is that if you know a commonly shared file "never gonna give you up" then you could find out who is interested in it by seeing whose relays have it cached.

Authentication should be fairly straightforward however, a server just accepts connections from a list of keys (not the user's master, just one they use for talking to that server) If I am using a particular relay as a mailbox, I can give it a list of my friends keys to filter on.

So every request is something like

I complect things further by having those first two keys Scoped to specific application permissions so the final destination node knows how to unpack the Payload.

Key management needs to be perfect. I don't want a "Words with Friends" app to be able to read bank transactions. With properly scoped keys you could leak your whole keystore database to a malicious application developer and still not be compromised. (Assuming encrypted at rest)

All that, I get off on such tangents, to say, while the key requirements etc may be complicated the actual protocol does not need to be.

So I've been paying for a service which parses my resume, compares it to job postings, and helps me get the resume to pass the ATS system. When I first payed for it the service seemed well worth it as previously I was getting no callbacks at all, and it turned out ATS was literally not picking up anything on my resume so it seemed blank and went straight to trash. Once I started using ATS screening on my resume before applications I at least started getting interviews.

However I guess they've updated themselves and now it does not allow me to edit my resume. The PowerEdit option used to work well, and used to be optional. Now it's the only option and it is erasing my job titles, changing the locations of jobs, clearing the bullet formatting on some but not all jobs. This is absolutely trash. I went to go cancel because hell no, and all of the cancellation pages are giving 404 error. Don't use JobScan y'all it's a fucking scam now!

This is really feeling like a straw that broke the camels back situation and I am so frustrated with absolutely everything. I hate AI and how it's making the job application process horrible, I hate that I can't count on anything consistently working because everyone wants to update and enshittify their programs, and I hate how unsuccessful I've been at securing income over these past few months. I know it's not just me, I know this too shall pass, and normally I can stay positive but I am struggling at the moment.

Off to go cry out of frustration
