nostr:note1e5fq59jnlyeq6qjjfva4qhhfucxafj8m4v3u2jgy78neae68al6sxw63wd

Thinking about this more and wondering instead if a DVM if it should be natively accessible in the client by commenting in a Kind 1 message

As opposed to forcing the user to go to some other DVM client

The “DVM” in this case would be listening for video reply comments where it’s “npub” gets invoked and would then reply back with content

Anybody else struggling to receive bitcoin on nostr:npub1cashappn03s3cl2ljsdntv0v28e2um5lgx4vjctqjt23pcwzjhsqmtdg5l ?

My buddy text me saying he couldn’t generate an address on Android so I thought I’d check mine and got a similar error on iPhone

Thanks, I appreciate that! The fee issues were largely due to the fact that I also added an AI chat bot and it was very verbose and texts cost money to send

There also wasn’t a great way to monetize it that I could find

I did make it open source though if anyone wants to ever add to it:

Coinbase is just sending a link to their wallet as far as I can tell.

I actually tried to build an integrated wallet into SMS, but stopped working on it because of SMS fees and the fact that Twilio's and Whatsapp's Terms of Service didn't allow for money transfers.

App was so sick too...

I've been #programming

Building every night on a fully automated, #AI video translation app

Focusing on driving down the cost, speaker detection, increasing file size limits and accepting #bitcoin

Check it out! #python #dvm #pleb

I’m trying to build an app that takes both fiat (credit card) and bitcoin payments.

The Strike API makes taking bitcoin easy, but I don’t want to have to make another bank account with Stripe to be able to accept card payments.

If I can buy bitcoin from a debit card on Strike, why can’t my business accept debit cards using the Strike API?

Damus translation service requests are authenticated by nostr notes. This is a simple way to make authenticated requests, no api keys needed.

$ curl -d @<(nostril --sec $jb55sec --content '{"source":"JA","target":"EN","q":"こんにちはwill"}') https://api.damus.io/translate

{"text":"Hi will"}

It also caches translation results: translation_id = sha2(q+source+target)

So they can be looked up again without calling deepl.

This is all open source as well if you want to make your own caching deepl translator:

Can this same thing be done for videos?

Like if there’s a DVM for translating videos, could this same principle be applied to distribute the dubbed audio in the user’s language?

Video dubbing would be too cost prohibitive otherwise if every user had to pay for each video.
