Future is unknown. You don't know if you will be ill, you will get a higher paying job, you will be fired, your car will broke down, your business idea will hit, etc.
Wouldn't it be nice if at least you could count on that the money you have saved so far will be there for you buying the same amount of products later as when you have earned it?
