What confuses me is say you want to make a big sale of Bitcoin in the future to sell a small percentage of your stack for something that will directly benefit you in real life (car, house, etc.) Then how would the Bitcoin be utilized? If it’s non KYC that’s great, but where’s the utility in it if you’re just gonna get questioned by whatever jurisdiction you find yourself in? I have not been able to figure this out.

KYC can be as risky as not having self-custody (custodial wallet, cashu, Fedi, liquid, etc)

If they know how much you own and want some of it, they can use all the state power against you, the same way they do it with taxes today.

The people talking about this believe in the blockchain narrative for some reason. And that a token on a blockchain is somehow trustworthy and transparent. Nothing if further from the true.

So I asked:

-Who is in charge of the token?

-Where’s the trust deposited?

-Why should I trust you?

-How can I know those tokens are backed and really represent what you say? Who audit you?

-Why would I buy those tokens instead of just buying bitcoin?

(The only reason is if you don’t understand bitcoin)

After all of this I asked again.

In some cases, JUST IN SOME, the end goal is good, specially if they are creating value while producing something that is demanded.

In some cases they say they want to lower the barriers of getting exposure to some business or asset.

But they don’t need a token!!!

They need money. And in order to get money you need a proven way of producing value or at least a good way of selling the idea that you have the capacity of producing value. But again, you don’t need a token, you need MONEY.

F-Droid has incredibly poor security practices and a strong anti-security attitude held by most of the people involved. They've consistently engaged in coverups of vulnerabilities and targeting multiple security researchers with libel and harassment.

It's a massive single point of failure and not worthy of the trust many people are placing in it. It's adding another trusted party compared to using the apps built and signed by the developers. It is not avoiding trust in the developers of apps.

Centrally Owned app stores put your app in a single point of failure, if the Dev of that app wants to remove your app, they just delete it off their server, and how can you trust the app is legit?

That's why I'm building a open and decentralized web app store, unlike traditional app stores, the user publishes anf signs the app with their Nostr identity, and controls where the info is sourced,

You can see signatures from other users of the apps as well verifying that the app is not a spoof and is worth trying out.

You can zap the Dev directly to thank them for the app and the payment goes directly to the ln address on the users profile.

The app data is stored by a Nostr note ensuring it's security.

Can we have a Citrine-like app that simply stores all of your pictures, images, music, videos sent to Nostr (NIP-96 Media Servers + Blossom) locally and offer those files to any Nostr client that has the hash via Android inter-app APIs?

Maybe it even syncs with other servers, like Blossom can do?
