Short term: ux is really rough
Mid/Long term: spam will have to be seriously reckoned with and I'm not convinced nostr can support a robust solution (other than monetary ones that normies and nocoiners will never ever accept)
Also: inertia, I spent 6 years evangelizing the fediverse and precious few bothered to even check it out.
Happy birthday! Also, did I seriously pick the day you quit twitter to message you? lol
Am I crazy or is a fedimint a really effective way to mix coins? All deposits into the mint after you are effectively mixed with yours at no extra cost, you'll probably get a completely unrelated utxo on cashout, and you can nearly-completely blind amounts by withdrawing unrelated amounts.
Obviously the compromise is in trust, like with custodial mixers (but considerably better)
Okay, this is epic
Is there a non-minified version of it somewhere? I just realized how nice some of the curves are. My openscad models are lucky to get a fillet lmao.
I'd copy and paste that but I'm lazy
Nest?
> Did everyone forget history or was never exposed to these cool technologies? The end result is that the most people don't give a shit.
A huge proportion seem completely ignorant of the prior art
I have ... and it came from fedi... lmao
Why do zaps use lnurl? keysend seems perfect for this, the lightning key goes in your Event 0 metadata...
I mean...
I'm pretty sure linking to certain illegal content is still illegal, so storing the message that contains a link is at best dubious
Managing collisions in numeric ids is going to suck though if people start really developing new use cases. At least with named event types you have to be working on something similar to collide. It's at least debatable.
Encoding persistence properties into the number ranges was a horrible idea though.
that is the scary part (or should be) for relay operators imho
