Low Interest rates inflated home prices and the cost of building materials and labor, the same way tax credits and other government grants and tax deductibility inflate college tuition, medical and car prices. Nobody likes to be on the receiving end of "deflation", they all scream "collapse" now, but when prices were artificially increasing everybody was pileing on the wagon to get easy money toward their evasive "retirement." Housing has always been a liability, not an asset, and now after 40 years of this madness the cities are literal warzones.

I see something very different here. Janet Yellen is losing her mental facilities, the country is being run by boomers that won't pass the reins to the next gemeration, just like they wouldn't pass their businesses or inheritance onto their children. They are riding it out until they draw their last breath and bumbling in the darkness of never understanding how the system really works. They intend to die penniless, it is how they were trained. They're dragging future generations of the entire world into the grave with them. Trump is no exception. He hires only from his generation, people like Sonny Purdue and Elaine Chao, ones that have nothing but an incentive to ingrane their interests into policy over the interests of the next generation.
