Is it so bad that good cleaning®rease is not enough?

Gongrats for the baby! A cutie! How old is she?

At least for me, having my own children made me look and society and life more seriously. It made me think, what kind of world would I want to leave my children, and an urge to change society for better and more free.

In children we have the future. They are a blessing.

I have never seen this kind of stuff. I believe the use case for this is similar than someone would use these?

This is the thing my parents used, I do not, but I am totally missing this ingredient in my cooking.

The Knorr stuff "quality ingredients" are mainly palm oil, salt and flavour enhancers.

Cantharellus cibarius?

That's some serious delicacy!

I could not find a way to check this in amethyst? Where should it show?

I have 8gb of ram. The main issue is UI. Your post's take up a kilomerte on the main feed as every new quote post shows as a separete item. - And every one of those is bigger and longer.

I immidiately see how the small head caps would be lost, rendering the battery fully useless. Also, the usb-port takes away so much space that it impacts the battery life. Sorry to be dismissive. :D Recargeable batteries are really cool.

I use "ikea ladda" rechargeable batteries or similar all the time. They have a separate charger unit. I like the self-sufficiency those give. I do not need to rely on buying new batteries all the time.

I even have an electric toothbrush that runs on these. It is more long-living than "integrated battery" models. Those reach end-of-life in about 2 years as the intergrated battery detoriates.

Bitcoin does not grow on trees.

Same. I sometimes open IG or Twitter and in less than a minute get 1) fed with an algo feed that tries to cover up the lack of real content 2) irritated by the ads and spambots that are just everywhere

When you have tasted the freedom of nostr, there is no going back.

(it is actually interesting that the centralized platforms seem to not be able to get rid of even a simple scammer spammers, but still require increasing amount of identification from regular users)

Now yours is also visible.

Most of us still need to mine fiat to feed ourselves.

I'm running amethyst and cannot see your status. Can you see mine?

GM, Yes it will!

'Just commenting because I want to show off my new status update.

I don’t think many ppl new to #nostr truly understand the real-time feed… 🤔 I didn’t fully understand the difference between us and X until nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s explained it to me a few days ago… it makes ppl uncomfortable to see things, not see things, see the same ppl posting, not understanding why they aren’t automatically being shown things they should like, etc, etc…. Note: delays and algos are preferred and it’s going to be a big education play to overcome that… #workishard

The algos trick people into not building an actual social network by introducing a fake curated one. However, the fake one is usually still so addictive that people will stick with it.

I have not posted almost anything in twitter during 2 years there, and only follow >40 people. As the algo's are there, I did not have a need to actually follow anyone but maybe few key users whose content I want to keep up with all the time. Result: I haven't got an own feed but only a algo built cage. And low propability to any actual social interaction.

- Still calling it twitter as I did not update the app. The blue bird feels more familiar.

I just bought a bike trailer for my kids. I found a reasonable condition second hand one. It cost almost 200 euros. I still got a good deal as new ones with the same brand and literally zero improvement would have cost around 900 euros.

Quess what the similar bike trailer did cost as a new in 2012? 340 euros! This quite simple mechanical thing has seen in average 9% price rice/ infaltion every year for 11 years straight. 😯😯

Insane.

I also use one at a time. Perfect for listening podcasts, while still being aware of surroundings as I sm doing some physical work at the same time.

In my opinion, community notes is a broken system. It is based on writer reputation inside the "community notes" system. Getting enough reputation requires that people invest in building reputation - not that they invest in buiding real world skills, knowledge or actual critical thinking.

The system is easily captured by politically motivated minority of active users. No normal people will invest the required work.

What do you others think? Could the incentives be improved somehow?

Could you elaborate a little bit on this opinion. I am currently reding Jason P Lowreys Softwar, in which this term is used quite a lot.

Fried some vendace so go with boiled potatoes yesterday. Fresh and natural, locally fished from lake.
