What kind of articles/ notes are you into regarding cyber security?

If I were starting university today, things would be different. My thirst for knowledge now makes me envy the younger version of myself—the one who had the time and opportunity to learn without truly realizing its value.
I have a degree in international relations and political science, yet the depth of understanding I should have gained lingers like a ghost in my consciousness.
I studied philosophy, but I only memorized what would be on the test, purging it soon after. I read ancient Greek texts but never truly learned how to think critically or challenge my own perceptions of the world. I studied the Enlightenment, took exams on the causes of the English Civil War, yet now I can only vaguely piece together the ideals that emerged from those events.
I envy the younger me—the one who spent hours reading, listening to professors debate ideas I now find myself researching and relearning. If only I had appreciated then what I crave now.

What town do you live in? I live in a suburb of Orlando fl USA and my local mall is barely surviving. Everytime it rains trash cans litter the halls to capture the leaks dripping all over the place.
Its a shame, I have so many fond memoried of weekend at a thriving mall.
I see your perspective of it and Im sure there are lots of people who engage for that reason.
- Maybe the majority-
But if I have a buddy on my network who posts something that I noticed took some effort on their part and provided me value, Id want them to know it did so. -Sure I could send sats and I might do so, but a like with sats might be a double tap.
If I know them in the real world I might just tell them when I see then next but, if I dont know them in the real world Id want to acknowledge their post even if I may not have much time to fully flesh out that acknowledgement.
Ultimately, what Im getting at is that this might be a "throwing the baby out with the bathwater" kind of situation
im not against what you're saying I'm interested in what you think about brief engagements?
I completely agree that we have become programmed to love the ❤️, to need the ❤️ but in a protocol like nostr you can't really see engagement unless people reply, like, or zap.
In my opinion comments/replies and reposts are the highest signal engagement but what happens when there is an urge to say something but it doesn't garner much more than a heart. meaning: the people who follow you saw it in passing and want to acknowledge you but didn't take much more time to really dive deep.
Should we shrug that off feature off?
Whats your thought on the quick acknowledgements? Should it just be a baby zap or a reply that says "thats so true"
I love that channel. I fell in love with math during my masters because of it!
I thought I was the alone in thinking that.... the hot part, I mean....
I second that. That's a unique piece of art
"It's inevitable because human action causes it to be inevitable because humans go to work for the benefit of the Bitcoin system rather than attempting to attack the Bitcoin system. So it's game theoretically perfect in that way." - nostr:npub1rtlqca8r6auyaw5n5h3l5422dm4sry5dzfee4696fqe8s6qgudks7djtfs
This was truly entertaining! Good show
when I was a kid all I wanted was to fast forward time to when I would be an adult. "man wouldn't it be cool to drive" turned to "man I wish I lived on my own" fast forward, wife and kids and a dog. "Man I wish I could be a kid with not a worry in the world"
I work in IT and there is a case to be made on needing new computers/phones every 5-8 years. that's when you truly see software out pace hardware. Even then though with so much processing being done in the cloud there's no longer a real hard case for that either anymore
that's beautiful 😍
I have a friend who has literally made millions from them. I tried and got wrecked rather quickly
