Just discovered noise gates on GarageBand. He's learning, folks. Wish I'd known about this before releasing the last episode...or the 14 before that.

New podcast episode & announcements:

I'm now independent but carrying on Beyond The Price. Excited to grow it this year and get to more events around Asia and beyond. Thanks for listening and for your kind words last year, look forward to much more this year.

I'm doing everything on Substack now - podcast and writing. Check it out! https://beyondtheprice.substack.com/

My first episode this year is with Teruko Neriki ( nostr:npub19x0h8jm3mnwzhv4tpq62zta05er0qlyge73m0pwsp7h666khkd9qev2ree ), translator of The Bitcoin Standard and one of the most active Japanese Bitcoiners. We talk about everything she's involved with as well as the struggle in Japan, so don't miss it.

今年もよろしくお願いします!

Is this the hour that people are on #nostr?

Two features I recently noticed on Twitter that I’d love to see on a #Nostr client

- A nice friendly message when you press ‘post’ and nothing happens, ideally telling you why not or at least common reasons (like not being connected to any relays)

- A warning message when you try to post something identical to what you’ve already posted - sometimes you hit the button twice out of uncertainty or clumsiness

Imagine ordering a salad and not absolutely demolishing it

Wen Lists on #nostr? Would be nice to have this at a deeper level than the client, don’t want to lose them when switching

Each new follower on #nostr means a lot more when you realize this might be the last online following you ever have to build

He’s going for more than foreskin…five or six skin…

Yes I am

I think at some point some client wiped my relays. Which I remember nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s writing about

Am I able to post now?

Finally got Weston Nakamura (Across The Spread) on the pod to talk about #Bitcoin and macro - specifically:

- The Bank of Japan's outsized role on the global stage

- What's the deal with the Japanese yen dying like a shitcoin?

- How traditional investors see Bitcoin vs. how he sees it

- Why everyone should pay at least some attention to markets (it's not as intimidating as you might think!)

Let me know if you'd like to hear more about these topics and if you found this too technical, too basic, or just right.
