Anyone working on a standard format for serializing encrypted ecash tokens, to allow sending them via nostr / signal / email etc?
Waiting for NIP for sending zaps by just sending an DM containing ecash tokens.
at least you can print ecash tokens and put those in birthday cards
Next time I want announce that Nostr is dead or something like that I must remember this: nostr:nevent1qqsxcav70semk73f42q7mr532v4qzpnj0nuz6d4dexuq79dexrlzk9cprfmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuam9wd6x2unwvf6xxtnrdaksyg8yvswsamt36tgvpa5v6dgg658umvv4ftquek3xnhdm0fuf0s3xzszyfx77
the irony
Now we have ecash actually working, can we start using them for zaps? I would rather recieve and fedi token, and claim it when I come online, than have to outsource to alby or walletofsatoshi.
I'm sure plenty of backend devs have dabbled a bit in react or vue or something, but it requires a completely different mindset to create appealing user interfaces than it does to create functional backends. Specialisation can be a good thing.

Ligitimate ways to view trump:
* A dangerous fascist who will accelerate us towards 1984
* A crusader for freedom protecting us from those who would accederate us towards 1984
* A useful idiot who sometimes helps crusaders of freedom
* A useful idiot who sometimes helps corporate/socialist fascists
* Basically just as bad as all the other politicians
* Mainly an issue because he gives false hope in democracy to people who know better
It seems like the political parties representing this group is much further right than the median actual member of that group. But no other parties will represent them at all.
I just learned that nostr:npub1j9qyxka5lck4tw50v7qfrs6gdwczz5ydt7ugqy6nhuva9p6dpy5q8rs2yg has silent payments already implemented. Also they offer advice on how to harden the mobile wallet for more #privacy on their website.
And: they will integrate Lightning via nostr:npub1mu7nv2jkaq4xausnn098xc8tp3gzgf2w5r2cj68x8dnns0rktmysnsj5cl bringing it to their 280,000 users. Interesting.
Now all we need is a lightning address scheme that doesn't rely on DNS/TLS. Bolt12 or LNURL over Nostr, don't really mind.
Can anyone help please. I am unable to figure out why this is supposed to be “permissionless” when in fact it is a VIP club for the privileged?

Lightning lowers the barrier to entry in becoming a bank. Now other banks do not have to trust you in order to join the banking network. In the long run, it doesn't itself eliminate the need for banks.

Bitcoin needs some kind of way to scale non-custodially. Lightning is a partial but not full solution. CTV opens some options that aren't currently possible.
GM. It’s very likely that Broken Money by nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a is the last book about #bitcoin I’ll ever read. There not much more to say.
Exceptions for technical books if I decide to dive deeper into that.

But did you read Bitcoin is Venice?
Bitcoin can work for individuals while under full state attack. But we can also imagine that the incentive structure of bitcoin actually drives states to prefer a more liberal approach towards it.

Great thing about nix shells is you start to use newer tools that other devs are less likely to have installed. Just is a great alternative to make for running common operations on your source repository.
