Not sure I understand what you mean?
More to come on this, but my philosophy in terms of design is to stick as close to the native platform look as possible. One thing this enables is easier maintenance of code and also it just feels at home on the platform. In my opinion an app should look and feel as if it was made for the platform.
Initially the focus is on public groups, but I understand your concern in terms of private groups. We will tackle that after getting a good public experience.
At dinner last night with my wife we were talking about a guy that I worked with years ago at Microsoft. He hired me which kickstarted my career in software development. He was a cool guy with a big heart. My friend just text'd me that he passed away this morning.
It's wild how are brains work. I hadn't talked to or thought about him for quite some time.
Sounds about right. Not worth it.
Gm nostr! Let’s get it!
Gotcha. Yeah I probably don’t have enough of a following to even matter. Probably gonna eject soon.
Think about doing the same. Do you worry someone will scoop up your name and impersonate you?
GM Nostr! Ready to roll 🙏👨💻
Took a break from Seer development to spend some time with the kids at the pool. 🙏

Web tech is not really my jam. I understand the need, but I’m focusing on what I know best and the where I can provide value. There are plenty of web devs out there! 🙏
Also to clarify the nip29 could enable us to remove dependency on group chat tools like slack, telegram and discord. It will start slow, but if it catches on it will be 🔥
After apple platform apps are finished I will move to Android development if it catches on.
Sure! My plan is to stick with nip29 so if your app works with that it should be easy! But happy to talk sometime 🙏
👆 good description but also adding macOS, iPad and potentially visionOS.
Later will also work on other platforms using their respective native platform languages and tools.
Thanks! I’ve had it for a while. Initially Seer was to be a dm client, but I abandoned it since at the time nip04 was the only choice. When nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 started telling me about nip29 it felt like the perfect fit!

GM Nostr!
I’m excited to share more about what I’m building and why. My project is Seer, a consumer-friendly, NIP-29 enabled application that's native to Apple platforms. Why Apple first? That's where my expertise lies. I believe the Nostr ecosystem needs more apps that are intuitive for newcomers while delivering exceptional performance and leveraging the latest platform features.
Seer will concentrate on NIP-29 relay-based group communications. I'm staying focused on making group interactions seamless and efficient, without trying to encompass all of Nostr's capabilities. This approach echoes what nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m pointed out a while back about the value of "micro apps" — tools that do one thing exceptionally well.
Additionally, Seer will be powered by my Swift Nostr libraries, Nostr and NostrClient. While there are some excellent options out there, I plan to develop and adapt these libraries specifically to fit Seer’s needs. This doesn't mean they can’t be used for other Nostr projects, but my primary goal is to ensure they serve Seer’s requirements optimally and conveniently.
I'm looking forward to bringing Seer into your hands and making Nostr even more accessible to everyone. Stay tuned!
Got pulled back into improving my nostr swift libraries today. The nostr client needed to be more intelligent about how it handles setting up connections and subscriptions. It’s much better now.
