IPv6 is so simple, once one understands it, no need for any load balancer or complicated software systems. Some simple settings in OpenWRT and boom as many IPv6's as you need for each server on your home network.

Facts:

The reason why IPv6 has not taken off is because router manufactures and ISPs do NOT enable IPv6 by default when they ship their routers, which most end users do not know anything about IPv4 or IPv6 let alone how to turn it on in their router software. This keeps the revenue streams for ISPs as they can charge more for static IPs in the IPv4 systems. This is a shame because with IPv6, the end user can create as many external IPs as they wish.

If a server is completely converted to IPv6, the content they serve over IPv6 will not be seen by IPv4 systems, which is most all internet systems.

In summary, our internet is not expanding because of the centralized monopoly of ISPs protecting their money flows.

Last night was hanging out with my twelve year old, who was on his iPad as usual, and I announced I was reading the Wikipedia page on Gen Z slang.

No reaction, but after a few minutes of silence he looked up and said "your rizz is mid!".

I replied "My rizz is sigma!" and paused momentarily to gesture expansively while his eyes sparked at the challenge. Just as he opened his mouth, burn on his lips, I said "you've met my wife!" and inclined my head towards her.
