Hello my friend, Willy , Sometime back you wrote on twitter that US Fed has been shorting btc to artificially keeping it low. They don't need to kill it , just they will keep it low enough to dicourage people for buying btc. is it still happening or is there a way out from this situation ?

If we can scale nostr adoption and zap volume by 100X then I'll finally be able to quit my job to pursue my passion project of memelord shitposting.

I doubt we'll see nostr companies having hockey-stick valuation growth curves.

The main reason FAANGs experienced such valuation growth was due to the ability to siphon off most value accrued from network effects.

Network effects in nostr accrue directly to users. Data ownership implies users cannot be extorted.

It’s ok if you own NFTs or have purchased them B or feel fomo around them - but the NFT people are some of the dumbest grifters on the planet.

NFT culture is societal cancer.

Really hoping that the bitcoin virus infects them as they grift with ordinals rather than them influencing bitcoin culture.

Listening to them in spaces is like living the movie Idiocracy.

Bitcoin’s existing nft culture with rare Pepes on counterparty is so much more tolerable and respectable compared to these crypto nft dummies.

The only two I know of are Nostr and Mullvad.

Nostr is very very cool…but…we’re a long way from normies wanting an unfiltered, decentralised social network which doesn’t have all their favourite famous peeps.

Bitcoiners will naturally have a love for Nostr because it fits with their worldview and understanding.

Like educating the benefits of Bitcoin, Nostr will have the same challenges. Zaps, nPubs etc… won’t mean much to most people.

For now it’s a super cool Bitcoin chat room.

Why aren't altcoiners moving to Nostr?

They're used to bribing centralized entities to integrate their coin. Exchanges list them, websites cover them, wallets add them. Even Twitter has the NFT profile pics. But they can't do that on Nostr.

And further, the Lightning integration means they have to use Bitcoin! The sad fact is that for all their developers, altcoins don't have anything like lightning. And they know if they come here, they're going to need to convert some of their stash.

It'll be fun to watch the VCs try to downplay Nostr's significance as they try to protect their bags. But it won't work. An actual decentralized network is forming and their centralized crap won't work here.

Let them have centralized platforms. Decentralized money belongs on a decentralized platform.
