Challenge: Create an account with no email, phone number, address or any other identifying information somewhere and buy something also without giving any of this info.

The only two I know of are Nostr and Mullvad.

I use square appointments for work.

I wish it did not require everyone to dox them selves for a simple service. Although contacting clients would be difficult in the case of them being late, no show or to move them.

iVPN (ivpn[.]net) same.

😏 Hot wallet and DEX on https://coinfundit.com

What lightning wallet has a receivable LNURL Address that you can use with NOSTR without supplying an email or running your own node? Not an easy find.

Stacker.news

You can create an account with lnauth, no need for email

Thx

Ok, with Blue Wallet going away.. what lightning wallet can one use without an email to authenticate on stacker news?

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/business/bluewallet-to-sunset-custodial-lightning-wallet-service

You can still use bluewallet, just add a lightning wallet with a different lndhub like lnbits, gatalby, or your personal hosted lightning node

Thank you... but here are my thoughts/concerns....ln.bits seems like it must expose my ph#. Alby isn't native on tor (are browsers like firefix trustworthy?), and I'm sure my node is exposed, plus managing channels is a huge pain and limits adoption due to poor UX. I think the UBER model makes the a lot of sense....flood the system until resistance is futile. But privacy is important or Bitcoin just becomes something that is better than a CBDC.

Does walletofsatoshi require kyc/email? I haven't used it in a long time. It supports nip57

Torbrowser is a Firefox build. Alby supports Firefox. AFAIK you don't need an email for a getalby wallet but I might be wrong about that. Another option is to use a custodial lnbits like legend.lnbits.com and install the lndhub plugin and point your bluewallet at it.

I haven't had good experiences with breeze and I'd rather self custody.

I think WoS requires an email....atleast to backup your wallet. Sounds like Alby is the way forward with the path of least resistance.

I'm incredibly excited about where the lightning network is going. But now it is moving really fast. We need to keep asking the right questions. Sound user guides are needed.

have u found / tried only tor based relays and which client iris snort coracle can work? n tor browser

Haven't experimented with nostr on tor

i am trying solve 3 puzzles now using browser client - cli early client is possible

Assuming a wallet is considered an account.

And I love both 😊

You forgot Robosats!

I was going to say that too!

IVPN.net provides this experience - we also accept Lightning (Mullvad doesn’t)

You still need to provide at least address for delivery orders πŸ˜…

Proton has the abikty of signing up for their service without giving up any info.

heard proton is comprmised

It is a honey pot but so is Mullvad.

Try it. It is almost impossible.

Itisn'tb that hard just requires patience and they have instructions on alternative payments on their website.

As I said, try it. You won't get an account without giving an email or a phone number.

I have multiple without giving up that info. They do ask for it but it is not a mandatory field.

And Mullvad takes cash as well as BTC

#[1]

Bitcoin if we take the definition of account being "a record or statement of financial expenditure and receipts relating to a particular period or purpose."

Matrix

IVPN also offer this.

Silent Link, Mulvad, IPVN are three services doingsoi AFAIK... And with Silent Link you get a phone number...
