Probably true. Most young people do not care about the things that Nostr offers. They almost all use Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok like their life depends on it (source is me, Gen Z).
If you're storing the seed in the device, sure. But simply using it as a temporary airgapped signer, how is it less secure?
What about using a single sig and a few different pass phrases separating funds?

To play devil's advocate, he did say "100%". I think it's reasonable to have a checking account balance split across a few transparent custodians, with the understanding that you're trading convenience for security/rug risk with working capital.
Savings should always be self-custodied!
