I'll take a look at that - I'm guessing that's just for new accounts being onboarded though?
Yeah, someone, I can't remember who, was using a set up to make recurring payments to his family - they only told me about it the other day and now I can't remember the details 😄
Is anyone working on mnemonic back ups for #nostr keys?
It's not pleasant when life kicks you down low, I've been up and down more times than I can count and I'm only a young 43. Take what you can from the experience and keep faith, always.
It'll be no more or less a transformation in society than the steam engine and industrialisation, things will change, some for the better, some for the worse. Overall I'd say it'll be for the better since the increases in productivity and problem solving will free up more time to do more things.
If the thought of the impending weekend breaks your heart or fills you with dread, hold out hope #nostriches, it'll soon be Monday again 🤙🎉😁
GM all you awesome people 🌄🌞👍☕🙏
Got this yesterday, was wondering what the string was
But wrong that the "prefer not to say" option is greyed out at the bottom of the screen and not the first option at the top of the menu
There's music, art, social, markets, blogs, news feeds, financials, even an awesome recipe site, all sorts on this protocol now.
There's getting to be less and less reason to go back to the traditional web with all this going on.
Just seen this and from the UK FCA
It's nice to see they got the Do Your Own Research but kinda right, Don't trust Verify is better...
But nowhere does it differentiate between Bitcoin and Crypto.

So artists can collaborate, even share revenue streams with promotors, visual artists that produce the memorable covers, the possibilities are endless.
Top fucking class.
I have to get passed my nerves and use git, I'm just a bit coy given I've not done any coding in 26 years till I started on Python last year
We either acquire the skills we want, but them or orange pill those who have what we need 🤙💯🧡
I already had the domain and hosting so I figured I'd build in situ, that way I can check how things appear on various screen types as I go too which I realised I needed to do when building static websites in the past, but just in case I decide to build locally, how much of a ball ache is it to transfer what you've done on your own machine to your hosting provider? Is it a quick simple process, or something else to learn and get my head around? 😆
I'm going to have another go when I get back to the computer later...like all things, till you've done it once it can be a bit daunting but I'll get it eventually
😆

I just almost accidentally onboarded a popular local merchant yesterday, I want something but I'm light on cash, he said I could offer a deposit...I, half joking, suggested I could leave a deposit there and then if he accepted bitcoin...and now he's thinking about it...so, tomorrow evening, when the fiat wallet is restocked, I'll go back and offer him the choice. Fortunately he's an old boy who knew he'd missed the boat back in 2011, and he had two enthusiastic young lads working with him, so this shouldn't be a tough one.
I remember that, did he mention data centres? This was before the use of fpga's and ASICs, not long after pool mining was started if memory serves...I remember reasoning it all through and in the end, because the entire infrastructure depends on it companies would run nodes and mine, even at small cost, because it's one of the costs associated with remaining in business.
