I like to dabble, it's been a hobby for years - for photographing your art I'd say lightning is the most important factor - unless you're going to sell prints of your work in a large size then the camera you're using there is more than adequate, especially if it's for sharing on line - most screens can't display the amount of information a decent digital camera produces anyway. Also, if you can on that camera shoot raw files just in case the cameras interpretation via jpeg is not what you're hoping for.

I'm curious about this - I never owned my own house, I had the chance to buy when I was young but didn't want to be tied down, always wanted to be free of obligations - that's what renting can offer. I think much of what is observed in this study has as much to do with mindset, attitude and outlook as anything else. That said, I have my yacht now, I don't rent, I'm able to stay on moorings or pay to stay in a marina, I have options and choices and that suits my way of being more than renting or buying ever could have.

That bloody mastadon bridge always displays the craziness over there. I'm assuming there is a modicum of sanity now and then on Mastadon...surely...

The pace and scale of the change is quite mind blowing - mind you, as more people are flooding to the city I'm glad to be able to reside just outside it's reach. Crapification is a good word to describe what I'm seeing this morning 😆 You're right about the small business thing too - there used to be a shop for everything around here, not any more though, they've all be converted to flats 😞

I woke up in a part of town where I grew up this morning because it was easier to crash in town than try to get back on the boat.

I just took a wander around the streets where I spent the first 16 years of my life...and the pollution...🤢🤮

I was walking past tightly packed cars, some idling as people dropped kids off, some waiting to be able to pass in the narrow streets...and the smell is awful 😞 It's hurting my lungs just being here.

It must have been worse when I was a kid, sure, there were slightly fewer cars, but they had less filters so spewed more crap and everyone used to have an indoor fire so the chimneys would be spewing acrid black smoke up and down every one of the terraced streets I used to roam.

Long story short, I'm going back to the boat later and I can't wait to breathe that clean fresh sea air.

I'm not the biggest fan of electric cars, but the city of my birth could certainly benefit from an increase in their use. It kinda goes hand in hand with the fact this is the most densely packed city in the UK, even above The City of London (distinct from London the wider area).
