Formerly @PortsmouthBTC on The Dead Bird. Used to do some stuff. Finally started doing stuff again. Possibly the only Bitcoiner to have *actually* lost everything in a boating accident. 🟠2013 🟣2023 #photography & #boatlife & #growstr #fishing amd #vibecoding fan and reforming church goer.

The funny bit is they're not even trying to hide their desperation

Last one for today. 👍🏻

This chap is bringing real world useful knowledge to #nostr - especially important that I pay attention even if I'm only on a yacht ⛵ 🌬️🌊

Is this what Luke is proposing through Ocean and knots? Removing the mem pool? I don't remember that being mentioned, so maybe there's something else being proposed that I'v missed? It sounds to me like a bug is being exploited and the loophole that allows it is going to be closed. I'm not sure that's a bad thing, even in the long term.

I was going to mention that there's long been several interoperable implementations of Bitcoin, Core only being one.

I'm not seeing the civil war here - those who wish to implement knots rules can, those who wish to support ordinals can. They won't cause a crash in the Blockchain, just some nodes will fill with data and become unmanageable eventually and some will keep the excess data out and remain more manageable. What excess data miners choose to include, or not, in a block, is up to them.

I noticed you can create a lightning account within the liquid wallet - I don't want to play around ATM, but any idea what happens if you do? I know there's a limited amount of lightning on liquid tech, bit not sure this has anything to do with that

There's a guy down near me who works with men's Mental Health who advocates regular icy plunges in the sea. I think he's mad, even if I can see the method to his madness. I know how refreshing it is...but still...

Good Morning and happy Sunday #nostr and #bitcoin fam - hope you're all having a blessed and wonderful day, wherever you are and whatever you're doing 🙏🌄☕👍

At a mates bar for the evening, having my first beer and this came on. A worthy contender for the bull run anthem? 🎶🤙

I've tried photographing eyes but never created any images that I've been particularly happy with yet, yours is an example of the sort of image I'd love to be able to create

Nah, you're good - the pool shouldn't have any issues with coinjoins anyway, but any that are there will soon be fixed - or coinjoins will be streamlined to work more efficiently. Even if all pools adopted a policy of not relaying or confirming transactions from coinjoined utxos the damage would be catastrophic and some sort of fall out event would probably lead to a split. It's in no miners interest to have a repeat of the blocksize wars.
