As far as I know the artist isn’t a bitcoiner, but you could fool me
Should I buy this orange pill LED glass light?

The craziest part is Drake has no way to prove that he’s writing his own diss tracks. This was over before it began, but it’s still been crazy
Some great views from the trail yesterday!

Save some of the starts for the rest of us!
😂 nostr is a censorship resistant protocol not a “moderation resistant” protocol. Grow the fuck up
I sure will
Just enough to build a good social graph without you in it
Bitcoiners are often biased toward dissidents oppressed by the US?
Really validating (and worrying) when you sit in a room with 3 (non-bitcoiner) economics professionals and they tell you they think the quality of current US gov economics reporting is equivalent to the CCP. Their words not mine 👀
I’ve commonly seen this recommended as a go-to beginner chefs knife. Good to start with a cheap one especially if you are going to learn how to hone and sharpen on your own. If you plan on paying someone to sharpen for you then you could get something even nicer right out the gate. I’ve had one of these for about a decade and it’s been great. Different types of steel will be good for certain things, but this is good for a wide range of cutting activities.

Sunday morning puppaccinos! #dogstr

That outro on To Pimp a Butterfly will forever be one of my favorites
Thanks for the heads up… time to migrate to e-cash!
Thank you nostr:npub12rv5lskctqxxs2c8rf2zlzc7xx3qpvzs3w4etgemauy9thegr43sf485vg for the endless services and contributions you provide
Is it not purely about media attention? Bluesky has strong links to Twitter and the legacy media outlets treat it as such. Same with threads. These apps that aren’t decentralized from the ground up benefit greatly from their corporate beginnings.
Hell mastadon has been around since 2016 and bluesky is already catching up in terms of users.
Simple solution: client diversity.
Something you don’t see in the middle of your neighborhood every morning… Hawk caught feasting on pigeon.

First they ignore you… (2009-2014)
Then they laugh at you… (2015-2021)
Then they fight you… (2022-present)

Just heard on my morning walk… didn’t see that coming!
Do we get a duplicate podcast title today? 😬 I just assumed this episode was about the mixing news!
Also did you notice the halving date (in UTC) was a palindrome?
Is this account for real?
Thanks for sharing this… I recovered a ton of old kindle highlights I had totally forgotten about! Much more useful in obsidian than on their cloud
Is it mean if I rebroadcast?
Oh so this is what the regulators meant by a “hosted wallet” 😂 they were two steps ahead without even knowing it
Thanks for letting me know. I’ll check out the video! I know some interfaces like nostr.kiwi ask you to put in an npub or a token - does nsec.app only work with the nip-05 or the bunker url and not the npub?
I do think adjusting the wording so that it’s clear that it is okay to put a bunker URL into the client would be helpful. I’ve used nsecBunker in the past and that wording threw me off for a second.

Proof of yard work… turns out the rototiller is good exercise 😂

I believe Tony’s original tweet was about this.

Okay I think I’m set up with npub.cash, eNuts, and have zaps re-enabled on Damus… questions:
1. Is there a way to launch eNuts when Damus makes a lightning invoice?
2. Is there a nostr-native way to “nut” a post instead of “zapping” it?
#asknostr
Maybe I’m just misreading it… thanks for taking a look!
Now, think of this system with the ability to do this in conjunction with a few other people (npubs).
Let's say I was able to see notes in my Obsidian from nostr:npub1jlrs53pkdfjnts29kveljul2sm0actt6n8dxrrzqcersttvcuv3qdjynqn, nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft, nostr:npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev, and nostr:npub1guh5grefa7vkay4ps6udxg8lrqxg2kgr3qh9n4gduxut64nfxq0q9y6hjy because not only do I have their npubs loaded into my Obsidian that's "listening" for their notes (and all of them have my npub - and each others - loaded into theirs) but they are writing notes in 'Kind 4444' (or some Obsidian specific Kind).
What threads of thought could we fabricate entirely new tapestries with?
Are there problems with this? There damn well better be lest we exist in Heaven and that means we're all dead.
The point is this: Synthesis of ideas in a way that no social movement has ever conceived of before.
Hodlbod and I get into this during the last part of The Bitcoin And Podcast: Episode 884.
Onwards, LFG!

I’ve thought about this quite a bit! It seems like this would effectively be a desktop alternative to highlighter. I actually don’t know of any good desktop long-form event clients with highlighting. Maybe they exist?
Part of the reason I prefer Obsidian strongly to something like notion or web-based apps is that it is local-first (both the notes and the interface). This allows for a more responsive interface, local interaction with notes outside of the interface in other software, flexible back ups, and better privacy.
One of the most interesting aspects of nostr is that the relays are sort of optional. They do have first class support in the protocol, but the cryptographic proofs make it so that we can all agree an event is valid whether it is on your hard drive or on a relay. Some relays have limits on timestamps they will accept, but otherwise there is nothing stopping a long-form notes desktop app from being offline first, with secondary relay publishing as an option and potentially even a peer to peer sync if you wanted to set it up via a plug-in.
