I'm following the hashtag #grapheneOS but not posting much about it, for me it's just a normal phone, or at least how a phone OS should be at the very least. There is no coming back.

I still have app with GooglePlay but hope to get rid of them more and more with time, focusing on FOSS apps installed with Obtainium.

I tried other OS like Ubuntu mobile and even FirefoxOS but it was not a great success so far.

step 1: buy an android device

step 2: install #grapheneos

step 3: get a decent vpn

step 4: find an old computer, install #pfsense

step 5: find a decent paid service like #protonmail for your email needs

step 6: use #signal as much as you can and convert your friends

step 7: build your own small server and host as much as you can (your pic, your docs, your media)

step 8: delete all your social media and go #nostr only

By god if you can do all those things you are well on your way.

yes. I'm all in with #grapheneos. if you must have the app store they have it sandboxed. there's really noexcuse. everything works.

i just purchased the Pixel 9. Im very happy with it. solid phone.

Got some great help from nostriches on this and fully up and running with obtainium. Certainly a learning curve

Never used anything but an iPhone. Try out pixel with graphene os. Finding it challenging to figure out how to get apps. Good grief. Someone should do a guide for dumbass apple refugees!
