Well... I'm not sure how many "social networks" most users here use at same time. I'm currently on YT, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (barely used) and here (Nostr).

I'll probably take a look at Threads, but I don't think I'll have enough time to consume it.

What android phone should I get if it won’t be my main driver?

I’ll be mostly testing apps on it. Prefer nicest screen but don’t care for cameras, storage or anything else you’d want out of a daily driver.

I would also recommend a used Google pixel. Google is the only manufacturer that delivers a pure android experience, no bloatware.

Get an older gen, like pixel 3xl....or get a pixel 1 and enjoy free unlimited photo and video backups (you can copy media to it from any other device)

Yes.. Kiwi browser and Alby extension from Chrome webstore. It's convoluted but it works.

If you added japanese to your android languages then the auto translate will stop for japanese.
