That's true, but the war hadn't started yet. So far, it looks more like preparing the economy to support military operations.
There is a lot of talk in the media about the military agreement between the DPRK and Russia, but what is more important is the fact that the two countries have peaceful trade relations as well.
They can change sides every day. They lost Nagorno-Karabakh anyway and there's nothing they can do to change that.

I can't find a single reason why Russia should defend Armenia. And most importantly from whom? From Azerbaijan? Then why hasn't Arminia recognized the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh yet?
Armenians just want someone to do their dirty work for them.
