Listening to "The Blocksize War," currently. I just finished "Hijacking Bitcoin" a couple days ago, too. All that was going on right as I was still a newbie, so it's really good to learn the history. All things said, I think I have been approaching a balanced stance on block size.

Keeping 1MB ad infinitum won't sustain a global self custody future, yet fee pressure is necessary for stability and security. If we are to increase, it'll have to be real strict rules, like the rate of increase must be tight, the consensus must be near complete, etc.

In the future, we may have blocks that today look like what big blockers advocate, but they'll be succinct and packed with high value transactions, maintaining channels, supporting L2s, etc. When the users are there, a fee death spiral won't be an issue. The getting there must be done with extreme caution.

Like the old adage goes, before tearing down a fence, be sure it's not been erected to keep in a bull.

And by the same reasoning, why everyone owns their own home and car, and paid for college out-of-pocket.

That's literally exactly why I'm using a new nsec. Leaked my own key in a screenshot. Thankfully only my Nostr key and not Bitcoin.

I only keep paper copies of my bitcoin keys, though.

I don't think so! There's a long way up to go and so much more to do!

We need need a Nostr connected business-in-a-box software, like Odoo (what I use for work). Let's call it Nodoo.

It needs a store, inventory management, basic manufacturing and processes, accounting, and task management.

It doesn't need to be the same suite of software, but likely more ideally an interconnected array of software by multiple authors made compatible via Nostr.

The friction between vendors and customers, B2C and B2B, could all of a sudden become superfluid!

I can imagine ad hoc organizations, shared employment, cross-sourcing, etc.

Cool! I'll be trying that in my next learning project.

I did one demo app with Slint, and the thing was a quarter gigabyte! For what amounts to a hello-world!

How does egui stack up with executable size?

Bitcoin is the only digital asset that came be stopped.

The forks of bitcoin each inherit this property, but they often are still capturable because of their networks' sizes.

Bitcoin isn't salvation.

Satoshi isn't God. Jesus is.

God gave us Bitcoin, and we should be thankful.

The tariffs will hurt the economy.

The tariffs are still a good idea.

The hurt will be temporary and will be good for us in the end.

Business is about doing good with one's neighbor. If one engages in business which is not intended to benefit the other party, that's by definition bad business in exactly the same way as a chair that does not support someone sitting on it is a bad chair.

The Catholic Church has been right about everything to do with faith and morals.

There are but two genders, and they are determined by sex.

Sex belongs in marriage, which is a permanent union between a man and woman that only dissolves in death of either.

Contraception is disordered.

Abortion is murder.

The DCD, FDA, HHS, big pharma, big food, etc. are in league with each other against the populace and do not have our best interest in mind.

Much of real estate investment is bad for the average American and has been given an extreme unfair advantage legally and tax-wise.

How am I doing? #askNostr

#AskNostr an automated client that boosts all posts from a list (presumably short) as they're published? Might be a great way to "migrate" nsecs.

What is the phenomenon called when a vendor does work for a customer which is not wanted and still tries to get paid for it?

It's similar to "bait and switch," but it's called something else.
