Thinking about scaling again.
Side chains with their Merkle tree roots entangled with on-chain settlements. The whole side chain doesn't need to be stored on any node, only that incoming side chain transactions come with proof of funds with a root-branch-leaf of that particular source. The node will then incorporate that transaction and relay to other nodes, continually pruning the tree as leaves go empty. It makes for a heavier transmitted transaction message, but a basically zero storage footprint. Downside is needing to re-sign transactions that don't go through if it doesn't get propagated quickly between root publishes. The actual transaction can get thrown away once the tree is updated, so the node only needs Bitcoin and the side chain's root. Haven't thought through cross-tree and L1-L2 transactions, yet.

An employee and employer increase each other by one finding and organizing work that can be done and the other by fulfilling it, profiting them both.
Money being a token of this exchange ought to be very difficult to forge, liquid, and stable in value. Money in its essence is a record of goods exchanged and service rendered, or rather the tokens of thanks offered in return of it.
This is really a religious work, religion being one's ultimate aim in life.

The basis for their power is the ability to print money. Without this basic power, all the rest of their power evaporates.
Authentic and truly good marketing is about communicating something good to others. It's about offering something that will make their lives better.
Sure, paying to become viral won't be much of a thing anymore, but that means more budget to making the product something people want to share rather than bribing the middle man to let others see it.

This clarified a bunch of things, and I am not terribly hopeful anymore that a block size hard fork will ever be possible on Bitcoin. It seems more and more that the only scaling route that doesn't get rid of self-custody is drive chains and lightning combined.
