Lets image a world, where the main feed would not be sorted by creation date, but by the time the client received the note. If the client doesn't have to list the notes by creation date, the client gains the ability to schedule retrieval of new notes, basically setting up short-term subscriptions for X relays, then e.g. 1 minute later for Y relays, then for Z and so on. This could be a tactic to avoid having 100ths of parallel open sockets.
What would be the tradeoff from a UX perspective? You loose the ability to know where to find the most recently created notes, but does that actually matter? You gonna miss out on most notes anyways, unless you are a 24/7 doom scroller π.
The other tradeoff coming to mind would be if you wanna read the replies on a note, you have to wait until the client went through all relays... Unless we find a way to somehow tell the client where to look for the replies of a specific note π€.

Just in the last few days, I've run across several sites that have implemented something called Anubis:
https://anubis.techaro.lol/docs/
At first, I was a bit surprised to see the Anubis wait screen, as I've never encountered this kind of security mechanism before.
However, now that I've seen it several times, I have to ask: why aren't all webdevs using this instead of CAPTCHAs?

Couple ideas:
- Because you still might need a way to filter out bots. Crypto puzzles don't filter out the bots, it just delays them a bit.
- Because there are not many good, maintained solutions.
- Because most devs do not care about being independent from external services such as Google and Hcaptcha π.
P.S. this comes from someone who created an own self-hosted captcha solution π€

Just released Nitropage v0.67 ππ. The focus of this one was to fix a couple bugs related to the hmr handling of blueprint settings. Specifically this brings back the ability to add new blueprint settings during `vite dev` on the fly, without having to reload the page editor π. This logic was partially missing since the migration to SolidStart v1 π. Last but not least the new version includes Tailwind 4.1, Prisma 6.5 and Sharp 0.34!

Crypto is peaceful revolution in the digital era.
If you wanna know how dystopian Switzerland has become, I can recommend the very well written text below (in german though π). A relatively well known lawyer is being charged by prosecutors for posting something on Twitter that could be misinterpreted.

Knowledge / logic based spirituality
1. Just define: God is everything, infinite.
2. Infinity includes every possibility, from good to bad.
3. For every worst possible moment there also exists a best possible one.
4. Therefore god is fair.
5. Good and bad are relative sides and depend on the point of view.
6. God takes all the points of view.
7. Therefore god is holy.
Don't believe in god, know and you will see god in everything.
Taxes are robbery and compulsory military service is slavery.
When you sacrifice freedom in order to create security, you will end up losing both.
Anyone who advocates My Body My Choice when it comes to banning abortion or compulsory "vaccination" and at the same time calls for compulsory military service, is in fact a hypocrite.
They try to implement it on multiple fronts. It's distributed denial of democratic resolution π.
Eyy πββοΈ, yupp most likely π. If we are lucky we can collect enough signatures to bring this thing to a second direct democratic voting, but currently it doesn't look like it... Most of the citizens don't even know, that the parliament continued working on the digital ID, even after already being rejected by direct democratic vote few years ago.
How to discreetly negate direct democracy, for Dummies and Autocrats-to-be
1. indoctrinate your citizens with indifference in childhood
2. numb the adults through controlled media
3. interpret the will of your citizens in your favor
4. celebrate democracy
None of the major parties in Switzerland are campaigning against the digital ID, which has already been rejected by the citizens in a direct democratic vote and is to be introduced anyway in favor of technocratic progress. And the indifferent citizens don't give a damn.
I think they can, unless you use their Proton Bridge and send client encrypted (PGP) mails π€

Unless if you wanna delete more than 50 filtered mails at a time.
Or if you wanna delete an email address and first have to manually delete all mails related to it, again 50 at a time.
Proton sucks if you don't follow the very basic workflow they have in mind for you.
Lastly, there are not many signs of this, but Proton was created by CERN humans not entirely free from government ideology. E.g. How will they respond to WHO data requests during the next plandemic? Are they willing to block anti-"vaccine" mails, if WHO orders them to?

Almost done with this, but I had one additional idea that will make it a lot more secure: You have to recognize three ascii images. That way bots will have a much harder time to bruteforce through this π .
An eye for an eye will only make the whole arms industry very rich.
1. Justifying your arguments logic with some arbitrary statist rules, doesn't contradict the logic of my arguments. Meaning both of your and my arguments can be logical, and we still can come to different results. That doesn't change the fact that legitimacy is irrelevant in our discussion. If you want big brother certified legitimacy, I'd recommend state propaganda tv stations π .
2. Logic has nothing to do with inalienable rights. If inalienable rights were coupled to logic, you could just change the parameters of said logic to take away inalianable rights - which by itself is completely illogical. The point of inalienable rights is that they are inalienable.
3. If an autocrat defines a rule: "if hospital crisis - > then no inalienable rights for the sheeps", then its ofc completely "logical" to take away inalienable rights based on that rule, sure, but that rule itself is completely arbitrary and implementing it is a political decision, not a logical one. Thinking that its fine to take away inalienable rights because of some arbitrary logic, arbitrarily defined by arbitrary experts, payed by the same businesses (pharma) which make profit from said arbitrary logic, yeah sure thats all very logical, but also arbitrary, corrupt, opportunistic, tyrannic, technocratic and anti-humanistic.
4. Hospital bed counts were reduced during the "crisis". Some hospitals even were closed. Statistics were manipulated to get results showing a "crisis". The health care system is broken by design and that since a long time, way before Covid, nobody cared / cares to fix it. Logically coupling the stability of a broken health system to inalienable rights, is a very effective method for autocrats to take away inalienable rights, whenever they want.
But whatever, have fun in your "(ideo)logical" brave new world π€·ββοΈ...
