coffee is not the scale here. I have a cold wallet for savings and I use my lighning wallet for daily zaps (99%) here on #nostr, and yes and 5 β¬Β£$ p/m is expensive for such a use scenario.
If someone uses a lightning wallet for daily spending in real life, than it's ok, no problem. But just for zapping, no.
Engagement ratio or sthg similar may be?
Do that, no problem whatsoever. I'll support you. It is just a count, but people like definitive aspects.
I don't like it either but that'a a thing for the maases.
One time payment for opening up a channel and than ~1500sat p/m.?
You're right but price level is way off for a wallet. Just thinking....

Would you use it at the current Alby hosting prices?
No, but Alby's nwc implementation is like no other. There has to be some other solution for Amethyst. I use Primal much more these days because of this (as Alby started to limit the "custodial" accounts). I don't want to give $60/year to them.
Day-by-day #Bluesky turning into a X clone.
While individual relays within the #nostr network may experience failures, it's important to recognize that such occurrences do not compromise or invalidate the #nostr protocol itself. #nostr is fundamentally just a protocol, a set of rules and guidelines that dictate how data is transmitted, and it remains resilient regardless of the operational status of any specific relay.
For those concerned that the failure of relays could lead to a catastrophic collapse of the network, rest assured that this is not a realistic outcome. The protocol is designed to endure and function despite issues at the relay level.
That said, it's worth acknowledging that the growth of the #nostr ecosystem might not meet everyone's expectations. This is a separate concern, one that pertains to the broader adoption and expansion of the network, rather than the performance or reliability of the relays themselves. Even if the ecosystem's expansion is slower or less robust than anticipated, this does not inherently reflect a failure of the relays or the protocol itself.

I couldn't find it and I have to say that I can't see in dark themes (not specific to Fountain). My eyes are not so good and dark themes make me nervous.

Creating nonsense out of thin air. Anyone who operates a public server with end-to-end encryption (or a quasi end-to-nde) could easily be sued based on this flawed logic.

Telegram toncoin lads say this is the #DigitalResistance Dog for protesting Durov's arrest. We should talk more about SimpleX.

Microsoft Teams is huge in the business scene. If there were a #nostr alternative to Teams in the future, it would be fantastic.
Such an alternative would be fantastic for businesses and individuals who prioritize data sovereignty, privacy, and resistance to central control.
