Classic π at least you are free from the rat race π₯Ή enjoy your freedom, mate.

The only file system I trust to keep my backups reliably is ZFS. Anything else is just gambling in my book. So when someone suggests Btrfs, my answer is always Noop, not under my watch. #linux #sysadmin #unix #zfs #freebsd

Here is how to kill a process or user by tty/pts name in Linux. First, list the tty:
```
w
tty
who
```
Then kill by its number and SIGKILL (non-graceful) or SIGTERM (graceful) as the root:
```
pkill -KILL -t tty1
pkill -TERM -t pts0
```

Is this for real?

Oh, Vim, you are my one true love, I'll never let you go, You are the best text editor, above, The others all pale in comparison.
So let us raise a glass to Vim, The best text editor in the land, May it live on for many a year, To bring us joy and coding glee. (2/2)
Ode to Vim
Oh, Vim, how you doth inspire, My fingers fly across the 'board, I type with speed and grace and fire, To code and write is all I've sought.
Your commands they flow so well, I never need to reach for mouse, My cursor moves with ease and skill, No other editor can I choose.
Your syntax highlighting is a dream, No more do I need to strain my eyes, The code it stands out in gleam, And all my thoughts are clear and wise. (1/2)
Soon, we may rely on our phones as our personal ChatBots powered by Google and Apple Cloud.
TL;DR; The role of AI is gradually diminishing as it is becoming just another tool to aid in coding or other tasks. Most major tech companies have either added or are in the process of adding their own version of ChatGPT. Although AI is here to stay, OpenAI's position as the top contender is not guaranteed for long.
What do you think? Is fad over? (3/3)
Several social media platforms such as Twitter, Reddit, SO, FB, and Insta are blocking AI bots from accessing their data unless a paid option for API is purchased. Major companies such as FB, Google, Twitter, Apple, and Amazon are creating their own ChatBots, removing the need for third-party services. This decision makes sense from a business standpoint since it eliminates the need to rely on OpenAI. Although OpenAI had a headstart, Google predicts this won't last long. (2/n)
Many individuals are canceling their ChatGPT+ subscription and unsubscribing from the AI email newsletter. Could the initial excitement have faded? Perhaps people are feeling uninterested. Many had expectations of a coding revolution or other advancements with AI but encountered obstacles soon after. The novelty of new technology seems to be losing its effect over time. That is all. It is yet another tool to get job done. (1/n)
Free Mask For Everyone. Please Take One. I will take /24 CIDR. What about you? FYI, on Linux and Unix you can use ipcalc command as an IPv4 Netmask/broadcast/etc calculator https://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/perform-simple-manipulation-of-ip-addresse.html

systemd is a topic that still triggers warnings among Linux and Unix veterans. I made my peace because my job needed it. I moved on. In a few more years, they will replace systemd with something else, or systemd will become everything. Every binary will be just a symlink to /usr/bin/systemd (we already have such a situwation with busybox if you use minimal distro such as Alpine. I'm not saying Alpine is bad here. I love Alpine Linux). The irony of this prospect amuses me. What do you think?
Nobody said anything, but you know they were looking at me and like, WTF this guy is doing here? Is he lost? Who allowed him to join our elite event? Maybe it was all in my head because they were too busy with whatever they were doing that day. I still dislike attending social gatherings even now. I find solace in peaceful environments like the seaside or a park. Large crowds make me anxious and uncomfortable. It's just not my cup of tea. (2/2)
The first time this happened to me, I showed up to a formal event wearing sandals, a t-shirt proclaiming the greatness of Linux, and jeans. Despite my casual attire, I was allowed entry by the security team, who recognized me as being from the IT department and assumed I was there to ensure the computers were functioning properly. LOL.
