I wonder if someone has come up with a #Bitcoin node running over HF yet.

Sounds like a shill for the big players who basically just want to buy all the #bitcoin for themselves.

When I saw Blackrock, Fidelity and others get involved in #Bitcoin, I would have run from the asset, except that I know it can’t be manipulated like any fiat can. Does it matter if the CIA or Putin or whomever designed it? We have the proof in the protocol that it’s the hardest money out there. Try as they might, if I don’t want to give up my Bitcoin, they can’t get it from me.

Keep stacking sats, people.

GN #nostr. Sweet dreams of stacking sats. #bitcoin

Many things in life help to prepare us for the things yet to come. You’ve obviously had at least one past experience that caused you to write your post. I’ve taken a road similar to you in this regard. Getting emotional never goes away, but what you do with that feeling is what you need to focus on. This can be said for how you react to many situations in life. Can you recognize and arrest that “trigger happy psychopath” feeling?

It’s a battle you can win.

Good night, #nostr.

Probably that’s what happened. Airplanes usually have multiple tanks and there’s a fuel select valve. He probably had it on one tank instead of “both” and just switched it over to the other wing tank. It happens. My training taught me to use “both” but there are sometimes good reasons to feed off of one.

It’s family. They’ll still love me even if they think I’m a psychopath.

Just today I was at a Cross Country race talking up Bitcoin to another dad there. We both missed the start and the end of the race. My wife might not have been too happy with me, but I’m pretty sure the other guy didn’t think I was a psychopath.

I’ve run into this. Just stay the course and ignore the fact that they all think you’re a bit off or misguided.

I’ve been told it’s a Ponzi scheme and that the government will just outlaw it. However, I did have a reasonable conversation about it a few nights ago. Baby steps.

Any time I find a situation, which is often, where Bitcoin solves the issue being discussed, I say “Bitcoin solves this.” Usually I get some rebuke to that, but then I try to briefly explain how it solves the issue.

Just stay the course. This is a mindset change that we’re working toward here, and it’s not going to be easy for some people.

To add on to this, I’ve run a repeater before on 900 MHz using old Motorola paging gear. The thing put out 225 W forward but I had to dial that back to about 150 W because of desense issues with the receiver.

I approached my repeater coordinator and asked if they’d even coordinate it on a non-standard split (430.15/439.15). Surprisingly they answered saying they’ve never had a request for such a low powered repeater before. The end result was don’t use the 9 MHz split and stick with the standard 5 MHz split. My concern was that using a 5 MHz split with an inexpensive flat pack duplexer would have more insertion loss. Maybe it wouldn’t matter that much.

The big red flag that I’ve had so far is that the hotspots aren’t set up to handle power outages very well. Maybe I can modify the thing so it will survive power outages with minimal issue.

Been thinking about setting up a low-cost #dmr repeater using a Raspberry Pi and WPSD. Also the power would be low… thinking 1-2 Watts forward. Also thinking making it so it’s powered over Power-over-Ethernet.

Anybody tried such a thing?
