We finally joined 2006 in my house by buying our first Blu-ray player today. The first movie played on it is Friendly Persuasion featuring Gary Cooper and Dorothy McGuire and made in 1956. My wife’s first comment: “The picture looks amazing!” This is on our 37” Vizio TV from probably 2008. Her thing is movies prior to about 1962 so there’s a lot of movies where the picture quality isn’t the best. She loves Back To The Future but I said that’s only because they go back to 1955. She looked at me a smiled. I’m right.

This is just an evolution. They will never silence Alex Jones.

What if Alex Jones came here? Would the platform be able to handle the traffic?

Good morning #coffee

I guess bitcoin is treating you well. 😀

I think you’re on to something here.

Annual inflation rate reaches 2.6%.

I had a discussion with someone recently about why everything is so expensive and getting more so. It comes down to my government (USA) devaluing the dollar. It’s not from companies being greedy, especially in markets with sufficient competition, there’s not much room to gouge, but no business is there to lose money. Their costs are going up just like ours. It comes down to irresponsible spending by my government. It comes down to our debt payments being larger than our military spending. It comes down to our currency being regularly devalued from reckless spending. It’s been going on so long that many of us think this is just normal operations of a monetary regime, and I guess, in a sense, it is. My entire life this has been the normal modus operandi. Until I started looking because Bitcoin made me look, I didn’t know any better. It’s driven by the people in the machine being overcome by a thirst for money and power. As my wife says, people don’t like their entitlements being taken away so the need for more and more to both protect and grow the entitlements drives this kind of behavior. #Bitcoin solves this.

I used some sats to buy a couple eSIMs from Silent.link. It’s pretty empowering to be able to spend my sats directly, and I very much look forward to being able to transact directly in sats. Even better is the Silent eSIMs actually work reasonably well as tested by two different people in two different countries.

I think I’ll pass. I don’t own enough Bitcoin.

GN all. Sleep well.

I should probably prune the overgrown plant a bit. I got this thing several years ago and it just keeps going.

My socks aren’t all that different on the bottoms.

GM peeps. It’s a great day to be alive.
