Went to a blacksmithing workshop tonight with family and made some stuff. I made the larger of the two knives pictured from a raw chunk of high carbon steel.

The knife was forged using a combination of hand and power tools.

I've got some minor touch up work I want to do before I make the scales for the handle.

This is the third knife I've made... First from raw steel. It's a lot of fun but also a lot of work. I'd highly recommend it if you've got something like this locally. The workshop we did was well suited for all skill levels with helpful instructors.
