The fact that so many influencers who are vocal anti-CBDC immediately complied with twitter identity verification and continue to defend their decision is an incredibly interesting case study on the human condition.
Important to learn from all of this so we can better prepare for what comes next.

When you rely on Twitter to power your engagement funnels, it's pretty easy to understand they can't afford to lose their "standing" on the ole Twatter or it would significantly impact their impressions, clicks, revenue, etc. Anyone with any common sense knows it isn't about getting longer or editable twats.
Yeah, I'm trying to understand what the problem is they're trying to solve exactly?
I was speaking in general and not pointing out anyone specifically. To those running YouTube channels/Pods/etc. with monetization, sponsorship, etc... they are making money off the content. Like you said, Twitter still has value so they're not going to walk away from their revenue streams.
The impact of nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a nostr:npub1cj8znuztfqkvq89pl8hceph0svvvqk0qay6nydgk9uyq7fhpfsgsqwrz4u or any other Bitcoin educator/influencer walking away from twitter from good, bringing their value to nostr instead, is a lot greater than the impact from complaining about twitter every other day on Nostr
But complaining about it on #nostr brings engagement and $
Hypocrites
Likewise, that is why many Bitcoin influencers haven't left, either -- because Twitter's network effect drives their content and revenue. They'll claim they have to stay to reach those not orange pilled, but if your content is good enough, your supporters would follow.
Ironic that he's flying that particular flag, too. Poser alert.

Is there a good directory of the apps? I’ve yet to see a decent one. Further, there is a big lack of quality desktop support. I do not use mobile and you can tell few have given much thought to web UI/UX.
Looks like it is time to quit giving Elon free content to monetize since he places zero value on the individual contributors of said content. #fuckyourbluecheckelon
Don't know if it is a bug, but when I'm using Iris web and click to follow, it never updates to show following.
They are expanding globally so the app is going to be undergoing changes as they add additional services. Said Strike is now available to 3 billion people.
Aah. I was expecting a LNURL since he said it was NIP-05 complaint.
Where did you find your LNURL within the new Strike app?
Yep, lots of twatter outrage but most of them will not actually rise up and leave the platform because they use its network effects to push traffic to their revenue generation mechanisms.
I'm not arguing with his conceptual knowledge. This is akin to many of my college professors I had where they theoretically knew what they were talking about.
I remember sitting in a networking class discussing routing and my professor telling me I was wrong when I worked on the very network he used on a daily basis and was explaining how it worked.
At some point you've got to get your hands dirty and actually use the thing you're considered a SME in.
On the other side, the more of these, the more secured we got the Money question being a major topic
Are you talking $Miami coin? Honestly, I feel like Suarez turned out to be somewhat of a fraud there.
It's always the same group of people, too. There are a group of vocal maxis that have been allowed to dominate the social narrative and people continue to placate their engagement ego. I've begun calling it Schiff's Law. The sooner people quit feeding into their nonsense, the better.
The same people taking that position are the same people always talking hyperbitcoinization. What in the world do they would happen if billions of people used Bitcoin 24x7x365? Individuals aren't touching the base layer if that happens.
All of the students that took those courses probably need to have their money refunded. Don't give me "theoretical knowledge" bullshit either.
So Gary Gensler taught courses at Harvard on Blockchain but never has owned or used it per today's hearing. The narrative that he is a BTC or blockchain ally should be done right here and now.
