I’m really enjoying my Instax mini instant camera. I didn’t want to go back to home development, but really wanted to keep shooting #film.

I’ve found the social aspect of instant #photography very fun and I’ve also had a really good time doing street photography, especially monochrome.

It’s been really interesting to use a kind of camera that’s been marketed to very casual users in a serious thoughtful artful way.

Yes, pros used to test their flash lighting with Polaroids, before actually shooting the scene with a medium format camera. No, most consumers don’t know about that or care.

I don’t want to get into fine art photography and don’t think I’d be good at it, but as a dedicated hobbyist, I’m having a really good time.

Well, strike the EU off my list.

The longer I spend in #Bitcoin, the less I care about the price going up.

For me, the real joy and fulfillment come from knowing my #wealth isn’t being debased and from exchanging value directly with others in a peer-to-peer way. Whether it’s zapping on #Nostr, supporting small businesses there, buying herbs at the local store downtown with Lightning, or gifting #eCash to strangers across the globe, these moments inspire me.

This is the beauty of Bitcoin: the ability to transact freely, mostly without relying on trusted third parties like banks, exchanges, or mints.

I shared these same photographs on my Substack, and while they got a lot of attention, I earned nothing for my efforts - not a penny, not a single sat.

Since joining #nostr a couple of months ago, I’ve earned more here from sharing my art and random life musings than on any legacy media app.

It’s been a great experience so far. I’m learning a lot, building connections, and feeling supported by this community. Big thanks to everyone who’s helped along the way. There are quite a lot of us Brits here you know. We are just as much into this as anyone else. Relays I’m using four to be honest!

I know! Quite uncanny! I’ve only been here since September and I think it’s got a bright future. My tip is to try the different apps, Primal, Nostur, YakiHonne, Damus and so on. They all offer something different. Though you may notice the feeds may not match up and this may depend on the relays you’ve selected. I just let Damus set these up for me originally, as I didn’t really know! Engagement is great here, just check out this conversation! This wouldn’t happen elsewhere.
