A big news for SimpleX Chat privacy and security:
Android apps released via GitHub and F-Droid are now 100% reproducible!
It means that you can easily verify that the app is secure, even if the download site was hacked.
From v6.5 our release process is:
1) build Android apps on two independent machines and confirm they are 100% identical;
2) cryptographically "sign" them;
3) add signature files to the release page so you can verify.

Server and Linux desktop builds were already reproducible, and Android APKs are now as secure.

Amber sometimes can handle. Aegis and nowser get caught in a loop opening the app up for each signing... endless if you have more than a few messages.
This is what happens sometimes when i try and look at DMs in flotilla. Glad flotilla has this tramsparency built in, i imagine this can happen in any client one is using with remote signers. Decrypting DMs seems to trigger dozens of signing requests, and in this case i can't see any new messages i received because it's pending / disconnected. User experience ☠️☠️☠️

Bunkers signing remotely , bunkers work very poorly in my experience if anything above kind1s is required. If decrypting or doing auth challenges, falls apart.
I would describe the state of remote signing for nostr apps as Unusable. If you aren't signing with the raw nsec, or a local signing extensions of some sort..the experience is awful.

I believe you hinted at this in a previous post, but are you going to add the option to log in with the raw nsec to flotilla ?
as it stands, nsec.app or any bunker signer that i try and use with it...simply can't consistently authorize actions and basically makes the app unusable. Only when i log in using amber with my flotilla app on the same device, or with an nsec that i created within the app /wepapp can i use flotilla successfully.
unfortunately, i think this is the reality of remote signing authorization and nostr at the moment...
If you don't mind a hosted version, you could try https://hosting.coracle.social. It's not too bad, but definitely requires some technical ability. For a relay that doesn't have blossom, flotilla will use your top personal blossom server to upload stuff (and will do the same for other users as well). However, these uploads will be encrypted, with the key included in the message you send, so they will be as private as the messages in the chat
