💯 % it's consistently the best way I get fresh content, many times even from mastodon. Unfortunately I often forget to use them myself.
Yes abaooutely. Nostr should be decoupled from any coin. Tying it to bitcoin is detrimental.
Don't know what you book nerds are on about but I'm enjoying the "3 Body Problem" thus far (only halfway through)
Check the box "use a real phone number". You pay 4k sats instead but it never failed for me (telegram, google, Microsoft, etc).
I've actually read the article and it is severely flawed.
The 8-hour restricted group is poorly sampled since it mostly consists of people with previous health issues who are doing intermittent fasting to try to address those.
And as always: correlation does not equal causation. Any "study" that solely relies on it is just pure garbage, not science.
They only accept monero nowadays
Don't need a phone number, use sms4sats.com to pass verification
Removing code is way more importing than adding it. Best PRs are the ones with a lot of red.
I don't get it. What really changes?
Debugging is inevitable, bugs will appear. It's better to be prepared.
The way I see it is using an actual debugger should be seen as a last resort. All pieces of software should have quality debug logging + good tests that obviate the need to use a debugger in 99% of the cases.
Wow adversarial relays, I love it! More of this pls
Why does payments have to be part of the protocol and can't be done "out of band"?
Even if it is part of the protocol, why does it have to be bitcoin specific? It could just be generic and be settled in anything (dollars, monero, gold, potatoes, milk).
I don't see point 1 as a structural problem and I believe it will be solved in practice.
I wholeheartedly agree with point 2 though. I think one of biggest contributors to that could have been "zaps". Before that, nostr and bitcoin were totally decoupled protocol wise. It should never have been a NIP. It forever cemented nostr as a "bitcoiner" thing.
I'm right here, representing asshole nation ☝️
