Insurance is the second most successful marketing ploy after diamond rings. Everybody “knows” that you have to have health insurance. And yet, everybody can do simple math.

The real cost of healthcare is X.

The cost of privatized healthcare is 1.3X. That’s 30% profit you have to pay the insurance industry for the privilege of having healthy children.

You’re in the only 1st world country that forces you to make that gamble.
